I unabashedly request hugs, because I'm about to have surgery in less than a week (we set the date today) and it's minor and outpatient and all, but hospitals scare me when I'm just visiting them. Anxiety reins until Thursday. sad

Healing should be damn good. Plenty of studies suggest that my anxiety beforehand will make it less speedy than it should be, but even if that's so, I should be up and about in the next day or two. Take it easy for a week, then no heavy lifting for a while. And it's the gallbladder, so no fatty foods for a bit, too. So the ice cream binge is totally off. wink

...also, to point out, my garb never has been historically accurate. Merely fun. All I need is the kumpania beltflag and life would be awesome.

The only surgery I've ever experienced was oral surgery (thrice), and I was encouraged to eat ice cream. But when I wanted actual food that gave me more than a mild sugar rush...not fun.
