Blazewhisper growled at kidnlestars comment. "im suppose to be with them but i want to be with u....what worng?" he said getting closer to her face.

Kindlestar snarled at this and flattened her ears.

"So in turn you directly disobey me? I don't care what your reason is Blazewhisper, when I give out an order, I expect it to be done. There is threat on FireClan right now, and I need patrol bordering. However, if you cannot see to it, I suppose I will," she growled, then stormed out of camp, heading towards the border to do a patrol and get some air.

What in StarClan's name is wrong with him? He is supposed to think of the Clan first and then of himself, that is the duty of a deputy and a leader... Maybe my own feelings for him clouded my mentality when I chose him... she thought to herself as she strutted along the snow covered ground.

Midnight saw the leader come back and then hurryed to the nursery

Kindlestar sniffed the area around MoonClan and kept close to the border. There were no unusual scents there, but she wanted to make sure no cats had been crossing over, MoonClan or rogue. After a while, she realized that there were no new scents in the area.

Guess I was over worrying...

She turned around to continue to the PebbleClan border, but stopped on her heels, a coughing fit erupting and making her lungs feel like if they were going to explode.

Thrushpaw darted forward, rooting around the bushes, catching the smell of...mouse. No, vole, he decided. He flicked his tail to Dawnlight, crouching in front of the bush.

Dawnlight signaled for Thrushpaw to raise his tail as to not make noise. He then flicked his own tail rapidly after a while, waiting for the vole to get closer, signaling for Thrushpaw to pounce the vole, ready to pounce on it himself if Thrushpaw failed.

Emptykit was breathing hard as well, her heart was still racing. Her eyes twitched to Badgerkit who was glaring down at her. She flicked her head away with a 'humpf'.
Badgerkit turned his head away with a 'humpf'.

Kindlestar kept walking for a while, reaching the PebbleClan border. "Firesong... and the others should be getting the catnip by now..." she panted, her vision blurry and her paws barely able to keep her standing.

After a second of thought, she decided to head back to camp to see how things were going. She walked for a bit then suddenly her vision clouded and the ground was no longer under her paws. A yowl escaped her mouth before she fell unconscious on the snowy ground, her ginger fur bright against the white.

A chill went down her spine. Something bad happened. she thought

Thrushpaw tensed, then pounced. His target was faster than he'd thought, and he only caught it by the tail. He bit down on its neck to kill it. Once it was dead, he looked at Dawnlight. "I almost missed..."

Firesong stood up. "I'm going to grab some catmint real quick. These kits can't help. Duskwind, get them back to camp. I'll be there ASAP." She ran back to twolegplace, sniffing out the faint smell of catmint. Finding a small pile, already picked, much to her surprise, she grabbed it. Noticing that it smelled like Sharpclaw, she headed back towards camp. She took a route that led near the Pebbleclan border. It wasn't much longer, and the path was actually easier. She caught a familiar scent as she walked. "Kindlestar?" She ran towards camp, trying to spot the leader.

Creamtail licked her lips. "Something smells good," she purred. "Didja catch something, Thrushpaw?"

Emptykit lowered her head as she watched Firesong sprint off. "I wanted to go" She said at the same time as Badgerkit. The two made eye-contact, then turned away again. "Might as well go back." Emptykit sighed, Badgerkit shot a glare at her "we wouldn't be going back if it wasn't for you causing trouble all the time!"

Dawnlight purred, his eyes flashing with pride. His apprentice had caught something on his first try. He was definitely full of promise.

"You thought about it too much before you pounced. Remember, you will feel when the time is right to snatch your target. When this feeling comes, don't think about it, but act. That way, you will be sure to not miss. On another thought, you thought fast when the vole almost escaped, and averted a miss that would have meant no food for the Clan, and for this, I congratulate you," he meowed in his usual deep growl.

Thrushpaw purred at the praise. He looked at the vole. "I've gotta stash it till we're ready to go back, right?" he remembered other warriors talking about buried prey that they needed to go get.

Firesong couldn't smell with the catmint in her nose. She leapt on a rock, trying to get a higher view. She spotted a pile of ginger coloring against the white of the snow. Dashing over, she found Kindlestar. dropping the catmint, "Kindlestar! can you hear me? Kindlestar!"

Dawnlight nodded. "That is correct. You stash it under snow so that other predators cannot smell it or take it away. When in new leaf or any other season, we bury it under the sand."

Kindlestar grunted faintly as she heard a distant voice calling her name. However, she couldn't tell who it belonged to. A fresh scent of herbs hit her nose, and she opened her eyes half way, still slightly dazed.
