Sophist My boyfriend got into a car accident when he was 14 years old and got a back injury that will be with him for the rest of his life, which he had to go to physical therapy for. He began to feel normally after about 4 years but it was also exacerbated by the fact that his brother was learning to drive and during one road trip he was allowed to sometimes drive. This was when he was 18. My boyfriend is 20 now and sometimes has panic attacks during bad driving conditions, but this may have also been aggravated by his anxiety disorder. I'm not saying this is what will happen to you too but maybe it'll help you gain some perspective. You should check to see if you got an injury from the accident, if you haven't already. My bf didn't know he was injured until a week later. If you feel the need, don't be afraid to seek therapy.
I was checked out at the emergency room and they didn't say anything, so I'm assuming there won't be any permanent damage (except for some scars, of course). I feel like everything has healed, so I'm not too worried about that.
Therapy would be my last option, just because I've dealt with those people before and I know what to expect. If in a few years I still feel afraid of driving then I would go see one.
Thanks for mentioning your boyfriend's story, by the way. It does give me some perspective because I also have problems with anxiety and panic attacks. Luckily, I haven't had a panic attack while driving because that would probably cause another wreck. (during my panic attacks I lose control of my hands and sometimes pass out). |

TeaDidikai patch99329 I'm trying to become at least basically aquainted with the 12 olympian gods and any others I may honor or have a relationship with in future. I think it's important. Today (at different times) I've poured libations/ offered prayers to Hera, Dyonisos and Demeter. The first two gods I'm a little wary of for some reason, hence I made an effort to get to know them before any others. To throw off my prejudgements. Tomorrow, Hades and Athene. Two deities I wish to get to know a little better anyway. Inspired by Nuri as well eh?
Hmm, for Hera yes. Nuri in part and also hellenion.org, they have a pdf calendar xD
For the other two it was more 'hmm, I really have some prejudices about dionysos, so I'll pour him a libation [a while later] I think I'll pour a libation to demeter now, she's been popping up alot'
I was also thinking about how demeter and dionysos are often related to each other, so I thought it flowed nicely. xD
