Kindlestar nodded and headed towards her den, guiding the kit inside. She sat in her nest and looked at the kit up and down as she entered after her.

"First of all, I welcome you to my Clan. You are old enough to know that you were not born here and to remember your coming here, so there is no point in trying to hide this from you. However, you look too young to be an apprentice, so my questions to you are, who are you, how old are you, and where do you come from, little one," she meowed, blinking down at the kit.

Lots of questions "My mama called me Midnight, I am around 3-4 moons old,and I always walked around and never really stayed in one place. But lately my mama was coughing a lot and had trouble breathing till one night i found her not waking up from sleeping. She smelled all wrong and was cold." She said silently

Kindlestar looked at the kit. She sighed and twitched one ear.

"I am sorry about your mother... May she walk with StarClan now," she replied, bowing her head at her.

Tigerkit amused herself by swatting a a moss ball

"Starclan?"

Kindlestar opened her eyes wide. She doesn't know of StarClan?

"StarClan is our warrior ancestors. You see, we live in a Clan. In here, kits turn into apprentices at a certain age and train to become warriors. As warriors, we hunt, we protect our territory, and we live in family with those close and dear to us. We are guided by a leader that is granted nine lives to help the Clan out with them."

As she explained, she wondered how much was the kit understanding about their life style, and if it scared her to think such a way of life existed, or if it fascinated her.

Emptykit turned with a snarl towards Duskwind "as a future leader, i am afraid of NOTHING!" Badgerkit sighed, his sister was so trouble-some. "When ever your ready." Badgerkit purred stomping on Emptykit's paw. "Owch!" Emptykit inhaled, giving a quick glare at Badgerkit.

"Fear is just as important as bravery oh great leader. Now c'mon we have to hurry, we don't want the sick cats to wait." Duskwind purred as she padded towards the entrance, waiting for the kits to catch up.

Kindlestar's whiskers twitched, interested in the kit.

"Well, you may, but only if you promise to uphold our laws. You must also abandon your old name and take on a new one. One that helps you understand your position and your favors. After all, a name is a very important thing," she mewed, knowing it would be impossible to teach this kit everything in one day, but knowing that in due time, she might just be ready.

((*Facepalms* I could have sworn today is the 13th... what is wrong with me? OMG Tomorrow is my mom's birthday and my grandmother's going to the hospital! I am a day behind... hurray! sweatdrop
