On a side note: Tooth aches suck.

Awww...

Yes, yes they do. *sympathizes.*

Off on a totally different tangent: I declare today "Happy I'm Not Working Downtown Day." The Worker's Compensation Board in Edmonton had a hostage situation all day today. As far as I know, it's ongoing. Some guy with a rifle who was really pissed off at the WCB showed up at 8:30 this morning. Bunch of surrounding buildings were evacuated.

Which made me very confused when I got a call from someone from WCB at work this afternoon. Then I realized that she was calling from Calgary.
Those are one of the few situations that make me happy to live in unexciting Wyoming...No bodies's been hurt I'm hoping?

Not that I know of. The hostage count has been dropped from 11 earlier today to 2 an hour ago. There is no body count yet, but we're still waiting on negotiations to put an end to the situation.

I concur with Chi. That's a very scary situation. It makes me grieve in my heart that innocent people at the wrong place at the wrong time could get hurt or killed.

Between the fair disaster this past summer and the hostage situation I'd say you live in some rough parts Sister. Note to self- keep away from Canada.

I've been in something of a creative slump for the past two months or so but I do believe that the darkness has passed.

I was made hip to a call for submissions for some sort of literary anthology with the running theme "The World's Oldest Profession in a sci-fi or fantasy setting" and I've been brainstorming and outlining a story for the past two days. I don't know if I'll even submit it when the submission window opens in January, but it's good to be back in the game nonetheless.

Follow up to my previous post:

I am no longer feeling like crap, my bedroom is still a disaster area (I should call FEMA or someone like that lol ), and my homework is still waiting to be completed (I'd better get a move on as one is due tomorrow, online by 11:55 pm and the other is due on November 3rd).

@Hankheadhunter:
I think that sounds like an awesome idea already. I know just how you feel when you get into the creativity slump. confused I've been there many times. 3nodding

When Arnold Schwarzenegger was asked if he was going to upgrade to Windows 7, his response was:

Quote:
"I still love Vista, baby"

Thank you! I'm here all week.

In the past few days, I have watched "Rent" and "The Phantom of the Opera." So, naturally, I have "Les Miserables" stuck in my head now.

I don't get it.

No worries- it'll only be in your head for One Day More.

For awhile I was hooked on Godspell, Wicked, etc. I love music. I recently stumbled on some Sister Act clips on You Tube--- I haven't seen those movies since I was little.

Why do I always get hooked on the weird stuff myself? ((Repo! and Sweeney Todd, specifically.))

You're all not alone. 3nodding I recently had The Muppet Show stuff in my head, specifically "Mahna Mahna" and "Good-grief-the-comedian's a bear" scene. xd
