Firesong shook her head. "Of course. One thing I've learned is that Starclan never has good news." She made room for the leader in the den and nodded for her to settle down somewhere.


Thrushkit nodded to Creamtail and looked back to the medicine cat den, where the leader was talking with the medicine cat. "Wonder what happened while she was gone..."

((Kindlestar had a prophecy from starclan, she's about to do a ceremony, and Sharpclaw's run away. I think that's it...))

((Basically, if you want Waterpaw to be a warrior, now would be a good time. Also, this means that Blazewhisper is also available as a mentor.

@Warpaw: Seeing as how you just made your cat walk out of camp before the ceremony I am going to assume you have no intention of becoming a warrior yet.))

Kindlestar let out a small purr of amusement.

"That is true, StarClan rarely has anything good to say to us. However, we do have a tendency to only seek their help when things are bad," she meowed.

After this, Kindlestar's eyes grew serious again as she sat down in front of the ginger tabby. She wondered how to start for a moment, but then told Firesong what had happened when she was in the MoonTree.

"What I would like to know is how can the sun kill anybody. How is that even a sign in the middle of leaf bare," she sighed, at a loss. "Unless it isn't about the sun, but I can't figure out what the cat would mean then."

Sharpclaw looked at the cat I can't go inside a twoleg nest!Maybe I should just check it out then if I don't like it I can hid in the trees Sharpclaw sighed and nodded to the kind old tom who then purred and started walking to the twoleg nest

Warpaw looked around the camp then walked back out of camp.Warpaw walked over to Firepond,the place he saw Sharpclaw yelling and looking at a unseen cat.

Firesong closed her eyes, thinking carefully. "It may not be talking about the sun itself. For example, I often use an herb called horsetail. It's not actually a horses tail, it's just a name. Also, maybe it's a timing issue. It could mean that something would happen at sunrise. I'm not completely sure. But the second half is tricky too. The moon obviously can't shed blood. But....moon....moon....the clans....moon....clan......." her eyes opened, then widened. "Maybe moonclan? It could be a possibility. But I don't know. I think we need to see how things go for a bit. Maybe Starclan will tell us more soon." She was trying to keep the nervousness from her voice.

((I wonder what the prophecy is really supposed to mean. biggrin
And maybe Dawnlight isn't meant to be with anyone. Just like Creamtail isn't sure whether or not she is ready for love.))
"I am not lazy!" Creamtail retorted. "But I most definitely am carefree, and proud of it. If I was the leader, or even the deputy, I'd be StarClan's worst enemy!"
Her head tilted sideways, and she found herself looking at Dawnlight with wide, angry eyes. "Of course, you probably would laugh if I was ever in a leadership position. And what's got you amused? Is it me?"

Forestkit watched her new found friend leave her side. She slowly got up and wandered around, unsure what was going on.

((At the moment, Kindlestar is talking to Firesong about the message from StarClan and the others are talking. Dawnlight is being mean, like always. xd ))

Kindlestar nodded. Of course it could mean something other than the sun. She felt angry at herself for not thinking about the different possibilities.

When the sun rises? The sun rises at... Kindlestar's eyes narrowed dangerously as she turned her head in the direction that the others' voices where coming from.

"We should keep our ears and eyes open. I am going to assign new warriors and apprentices today. We need all the help we can get," she spat, in an angry tone unusual to her usual somber self.

Dawnlight purred in amusement.

"Of course I am. Do you have any idea how amusing it is to see you actually worked up. It makes your peace speeches seem rather contradicting," he sneered, his tail flicking smugly.

((sharpclaw thought she was bringing a danger to the clan(thank you Starclan) and ran away. Kindlestar went to speak with starclan and they gave her a terrible prophecy(thanks again) and Dawnlight and Creamtail are actually getting along, despite Dawnlight being bloodthirsty and Creamtail being a pacifist. Also, leaf-bare is making it hard to find food, and Kindlestar is about to make several kits into apprentices.)

Firesong looked oddly at Kindlestar. The leader suddenly sounded...enraged. Had she realized something Firesong hadn't? "Good. Some of the kits have been getting restless anyway."

Kindlestar nodded, her eyes growing softer at the mention of the kits.

"The nursery has become full. I suppose we should thanks StarClan for that, if nothing else," she mewed, then nodded at Firesong and headed towards the nursery.

"Forestkit, Thrushkit, Whisperkit and Sparrowkit. It is time for you to earn your apprentice names. Come with me," she told the kits, blinking warmly at them before turning around and heading towards the great rock.

Dawnlight's ears were perked as he heard the leader call out the regular summons and padded over to the center of the clearing to get a better view of her. He had seen her getting the kits out of the nursery, so to him this could only mean the making of new apprentices.

Thrushkit heard his name called. He leaped to his feet, barely able to contain his excitement. He purred to Forestkit encouragingly before following Kindlestar towards the meeting area. He sat to the side, saving room for the other kits to sit nearby, if they wanted.


Firesong came to the meeting area, settling down towards the back. She wasn't getting an apprentice. She thought she'd let the new mentors have the front area.

Creamtail heard Kindlestar's call before she could reply, but she did get as close to Dawnlight as possible without seeming obsessive after he went into the center of the clearing.
"Apprentices, huh?" she mewed. "Maybe I'll just get all worked up in front of them and scare them into returning to the nursery. Wouldn't that just give you that warm feeling inside?"

Sprintsong padded to the are and sat down softly.

Forestkit slowly made her way next to Thrushkit. She moved to him and nuzzled him before moving to sit straight. She waited for the ceremony to start. Her golden eyes shimmered with curiosity.
