Badgerkit sighed happily, he was dreaming about leaping from cloud to cloud chasing birds. With a sharp prod from the side Badgerkit opened his eyes into slits. "what?" he breathed out at the burning blue eyes in front of him. Emptykit leaned in close enough so only Badgerkit could hear. Morningwind had fallen asleep. There weren't to many queens in the nursery, but it didn't matter, since most of the queens just left Badgerkit and Emptykit alone anyway. "Lets go exploring!" Emptykit purred quietly into Badgerkit's ear. Badgerkit's eyes flew open. "Now?!" He hissed as quietly as he could.

((The problem is Flamewind is sick right now, and story wise that makes no sense. In fact, if a cat is sick with an apprentice they normally take the apprentice away so that it can keep training with a healthy mentor. As soon as Flamewind gets better, I see no reason why she can't have an apprentice though. 3nodding Okay, so the ones I will turn to apprentices are Thrushkit, Forestkit, Whisperkit and Sparrowkit was it? confused She has been wanting to be an apprentice for a while now. xd As for warriors... Pantherclaw hasn't told me she wants Warpaw to be a warrior yet, so I will keep him apprentice for a while longer. However, I will change his mentor, as Jayflight no longer connects and I believe has no more interest in the guild as she did not respond to my pm. sweatdrop This is what I have so far:

The mentors available are:

Duskwind
Creamtail?[Not sure if you want to be one. xd ]
Dawnlight[If you are sure you want an evil mentor. twisted ]
Kindlestar[I normally don't take apprentices with Kindlestar, but I see a lack of available mentors... ninja ]

The ones that aren't in this list I either forgot, are sick, or are missing... [Sharpclaw come back!!! xd and Flamewind... I will haunt you if you do not get better. twisted This might change depending on what happens though. 3nodding If you would rather I choose, then you can just not post who you want as a mentor or tell me. blaugh ))

Dawnlight snorted at this talk of love.

"To me all there is is fighting. Respect isn't love. It is the appreciation of strength," he growled stubbornly, his tail flicking.

Kindlestar rolled her eyes at this and shook her head. She had more important things to do than argue with the large tabby, so she blinked at Creamtail and padded off, heading towards the medicine cat den.

Duskwind snapped out of her thoughts, pushing the dark prophecy to the back of her head. "Actually Dawnlight I think that respect is how other cats see you. They respect you because you are strong and loyal and they respect Creamtail because she looks for a path that doesn't shed blood."

Dawnlight stared at Duskwind and his whiskers twitched. He shifted his paws on the snow uncomfortably, the cold unnerving him. After a while of thinking he nodded and turned his blue gaze on Creamtail.

"Yeah, I suppose you are right," he meowed, looking down at the peaceful cat.

((Considering Forestkit's attitude, she may like to have Creamtail as a mentor, if they're both interested. Thrushkit, he could always try to deal with Dawn-y. xd ))

Firesong started to exit the den when she noticed Kindlestar approaching. She stopped, knowing that the leader would probably want to talk with her about her trip to the Moon Tree.

Thrushkit looked oddly at Dawnlight. "Dawnlight, how do you measure strength?"

Kindlestar saw the medicine cat and sighed.

"I trust you found Flamewind? Was she alright?" she asked, worried about the warrior.

Dawnlight looked down at the small kit and sneered.

"Well youngster, strength is various things. Speed to overrun your enemy. Muscle power to defeat them, and the ability to stand up for what you believe in no matter what. In that case, I suppose Creamtail makes for a strong cat," he added, smirking at her.

((Dawnlight is cool xp I admit it. but I still don't know how he's going to turn out. I like the dynamic nature of him...wow, just sounded like a character analyst or something.))

Creamtail gasped, ignoring the smirk. "You really think that?" she asked Dawnlight. "Becasue, well, I think you're probably the strongest in the Clan behind Kindlestar, and that's only because she's the leader. You're great at saying what you think, and I respect that."
She looked at Thrushkit and smiled. "You know, I like kits like you. Maybe I will take a shot at mentoring one of you little ones. After all, kits make the Clan strong."

Thrushkit purred happily. His tail flicked back and forth as he stood up. "That's great Creamtail!" He looked at Dawnlight. "I'll do everything I can to help the clan. I'll be a strong cat, definitely!"

Firesong shook her head. "She'd be doing alot better if she'd listen to me and stay in camp and rest."

Creamtail glanced at Dawnlight, saying, "Yeah, be strong, Thrushkit. Just remember that I made you happy once. Maybe then you'll be caring and powerful at the same time."
She nudged the large warrior with her tail. "As for you, Dawnlight, maybe you'll learn to be kind to cats like Thrushkit and me," she purred.

((Dawnlight is just a character that has no sense of tact, and he is more 'human' than he wants to admit. He views feelings like weakness, but that's just cause he has never been in love or had a great fear of loosing anything other than his sanity at one point, and this fear was created by his own arrogance and need for blood. To be honest, I am not entirely sure what I am going to do with him. He has a mind of his own. xd

Okay then. So far I have them like this then:

Forestkit: Springtsong
Thrustkit: Dawnlight
Whisperkit: Creamtail
Sparrowkit: Duskwind

In any case, if I have any of the partners wrong, do tell me. wink ))

Dawnlight looked down at Creamtail and purred.

"Being kind to cats like you is only an incentive for you to keep up your lazy carefree attitude," he snarled, but his eyes glinted with amusement regardless.

Kindlestar sighed. "I'm going to have to have a strong talk with her later... In any case, we had a safe trip to MoonTree, and I was able to talk to StarClan. Only one cat presented itself however, and it gave me an omen of death," she meowed seriously, her ears flattened gravely.
