@eudae they probably want no shading/detail because from my experience art classes start with basics as being able to recognize and draw the shape of an object and just get the feel for it before you get into actually making it into anything. it tends to help with sketching i think, since then it's easier to put down fewer lines because you have an idea of shapes.
beginner art classes can be kinda zzzz like that, but maybe take it as a chance for you to integrate these techniques into your own work? either that or at least relax a little and draw some more ming vases until your arms fall off.

Think of it this way...lets say you know how to draw a bus. Your bus is nice, but right now the prof. is getting you to go back to basics and learn the foundation of that bus. the lines, contours, etc. For instance, I used to teach ESL. I would have some student come in that could read a large amount of words.So it appeared they were doing fine learning English. (They could draw the bus) However, they did not get the phonics rules and basic language rules needed to expand their vocabulary on their own. (All the piddly stuff your prof is making you do.) They didn't know how to conjugate verbs or know why "ai' make the long a sound. These are skills they needed if they wanted to go out on their own and learn the language. Were they advanced? Yes, comparatively. However, they still needed the class.

X__X KSJDDLJH YEAH holy crap we had to feed Thor a whole new brand of food, and avoid specific flavors because he'd rip some really nasty ones, especially in your face. gonk gonk gonk gonk gonk That sounds horrible. ;o; Its been awhile since my cat has stunk up a room. I guess I should be happy about it. XD We asked the vet what to do about him when he was smaller, because he had horrible breath, too. Apparently there was something with beef and seafood flavored cat foot that REALLY upset his stomach. Like, he'd groom himself and smell like his farts because of his breath. So now he's only allowed to have chicken, lamb, or turkey flavored stuff. xd

I'll probably settle for a reconstruction like my mum did when she was 30. She gotit done 30 years ago and she STILL has better tits than me =/ Mum always tells me I need plastic surgery though >.<

MY CATS ARE FOUL SWAMP BEASTS
Also, speaking of cats, I have to take Josie to the vet tomorrow to get a rabies shot. The last time she had one, she had a severe allergic reaction and had to be taken to an emergency vet, so I'm hoping everything goes fine.
