((Good idea, Imma gonna make the poll after I post this. As for making the war, we can always claim that due to the shortage of fresh kill in leaf bare, Dawnlight has been stealing prey from either PebbleClan or MoonClan. twisted

I know the other Clans are at war, but I also realize that things have been rather quiet since I became leader.

As for Sorrowkit, Patchstar banned her from the guild about a month or so ago. Not sure how long exactly... sweatdrop ))

I shivered, the tremor coursing through my entire body. Greencough. The last time greencough was in camp, my mother and littermates succumbed to it. It was a wonder I survived. I padded over to the side of the nursery. There was a bit of privacy here. I curled up, alone with my thoughts. I was warm in my little knot, and began to drift off to sleep, lazily watching a snowflake drift to the ground.

((StarClan should warn of impending danger. Everyone should expect it from illness or invaders, but it should come from an entirely unexpected front, where no one is prepared for it. Cryptic, huh? ^^ ))

(Well it was pretty hectic before you, Kindlestar. First Thunderstar dies and then the deputy Scorpionwing dies immeditely after him and then Shadowstar dies. ALL THE LEADERS STARTED TO DIE!!! So...don't die Kindlestar. Also I knew Dawnlight would snap sooner or later!)

((LOL Well, poll has been made. We could get a cryptic message yes. I will leave the message doing to Firesong, as she will play the role of our warrior ancestors when I go to the MoonTree... which probably means I will go to MoonClan territory. xd However, idea is appreciated. heart Also, Whisperkit, you are now better, so I was wondering if you would want to turn into an apprentice now and if so who you would like as your mentor if anyone in particular comes to mind. 3nodding If you would rather wait, that is fine as well. blaugh

And yes, Dawnlight should have snapped ages ago. I was gonna turn him into a rouge cat at some point during his apprenticeship, but decided to keep him for a while cause a friend of mine liked his character cause he is like the baddy of the Clan. xd ))

Kindlestar padded into the medicine cat den and looked around at the entrance.

"Firesong, you there?" she called out, her ears swiveling.

(YES! second time tresspassing on MoonClan territory for me! 4laugh )

Duskwind started to make her way to the medicine cat den to talk to Firesong and Kindlestar.

Kindlestar's ear swiveled as she heard movement behind her, and she noticed Duskwind padding towards her.

"Everything alright, Duskwind?" she asked the black warrior, noting she looked serious, which was a bit unusual for her.

Firesong was about to ask what Kindlestar needed when Duskwind stepped in. She turned to look at her old friend.

Creamtail let out a really big yawn and padded towards a little indent on the ground, where she sat down and began to clean herself. "Why do I have this feeling that something isn't right?" she asked herself. "It's like there's something out there that's coming, but...I don't know..."

"Oh, it's nothing important Kindlestar, it''s just that all the clans are at war except us and can we really just sit and wait while the other clans destroy themselves?" Duskwind responded.

Dawnlight had followed Creamtail and sat down next to her, cleaning his fur with his tongue. He glanced at Creamtail as she spoke and flattened his ears.

"How do you know something is coming?" he spat at her as he continued to clean himself.

Kindlestar's ears flattened at this. Duskwind was right. She had just been too afraid to have any action during the war. The fact that leaf bare was upon them did not help. The lack of food for her Clan had been making her more cautious than ever.

"It's not easy..." she began, looking at her paws, then she cleared her throat and looked up at Firesong and Duskwind before starting again. "It's not easy, being as young as I am and having to do these choices. I feel like my own life experiences may not help much for the making of these decisions... Sometimes I wonder if StarClan made the right choice in me at all. That is why I came here to talk to Firesong. As a matter of fact, your timing is perfect as always, Duskwind," she purred at her old mentor, blinking gratefully.

Kindlestar turned her black masked face towards Firesong and continued. "With all that is happening, I feel the need to ask our ancestors if something is coming. I have had... disturbing dreams of late. Ones I cannot decipher and are unclear, but warn of something to come regardless. I need to know if these events are related somehow... I am going to the MoonTree to share tongues with StarClan, and I am going tomorrow at dawn. Duskwind, I wish for you to accompany me on the journey," she mewed, turning to the black cat.

"Of course, Kindlestar." Duskwind replied dipping her head and then "Let's hope that StarClan doesn't give us some weird prophecy." she joked.

Firesong nodded. She stood. "I'll have traveling herbs ready for you both. You'd better stop in my den before you go. Also, I'd advise not sending Blazewhisper out. If you go, we'll need the deputy in camp." She looked warmly at Kindlestar. "You were an excellent choice. Many cats would not be so humble as you, and right now, what this clan needs is a leader who's willing to seek out help. Just stay safe, and ....." she looked almost hesitant here, as though trying to piece together her words. "Remember that no matter what starclan tells you, we are all ultimately responsible for what happens here in this life. They can only advise, and warn. Many-" She looked away. "Many think that starclan can control our fates. Nothing has that kind of power..."

Creamtail jumped at the sound of Dawnlight's voice. "Oh, I've never known how I know these things, but they just come to me... Sometimes they really do come true, too."

Kindlestar blinked gratefully at Duskwind then turned to Firesong as she began to speak. After hearing what the medicine cat had to say, she nodded.

"Thank you," she mewed, bowing her head, a little embarrased at her words. "However, you best not make the leaves for me. If I am not mistaken, I am not supposed to eat any if I am to speak to StarClan," she added, then sighed. "A pity too... I could use with something in my belly, no matter how bitter," she purred, her whiskers twitching with amusement.

Her gaze grew more serious however as she turned her eyes on the deputy, whom was still in the clearing.

"Keep an eye on him for me, will you? I know he is the deputy, and I know he is strong, but his judgement is not the best lately," she mewed, turning to Firesong again.

She turned to leave the medicine cat den and added, "Best get some rest Duskwind. We have a long journey tomorrow." With this, she retreated to her den.

As soon as she got to her den she curled up in her nest and sighed, restless.

I just hope Duskwind is right and we get no strange predictions from StarClan... With this, she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Dawnlight's whiskers twitched.

"Well, if anything bad happens, we will give them a good beating. Nothing can defeat our Clan," he sneered, puffing out his chest. "Not while I'm around anyways."

Duskwind nodded and padded towards the warriors den where Creamtail and Dawnlight were fighting...again. "Try to keep it down furballs, some cats are actually trying to sleep." Duskwind chuckled as she curled up in a ball and closed her eyes.
