Blazewhisper ran back into camp with sweat down his ears. " ive come back!" he yelled.

Firesong looked at Flamewind. "Are you alright?" she asked. "Are you feeling tired or weak at all?" Firesong had the feeling that the warrior might be coming down with greencough. If that were the case, she'd have to go gather more catmint. It would be hard to gather much, but the garden usually had a good supply.  

[Dood-sama]

Her eyes and nose were streaming. "Tired," said Flamewind.  

[Kitsune Thistletree]

Kindlestar looked down at the small kit and purred.

"Well youngster, you can help me check that the elders have fed, how about that? In the meantime, I will check Blazewhisper's report on his patrol," she answered, getting up and giving a glance at Flamewind.

Firesong was already next to the gray warrior, and she could see concern in the medicine cat's eyes. Normally, it wouldn't be something to worry about, but leaf bare brought greencough and whitecough, and these were no laughing matters. An epidemic could wipe out the already hungry Clan.

Taking her mind away from such horrible thoughts, she padded over to Blazewhisper and stood in front of him.

"Everything clear?" she asked, hoping that there were no more bad news from his side.

Dawnlight sniffed in discontent at Duskwind.

"Not necessarily. We were sent to find Sharpclaw and see why she has decided to abandon us," he snarled, his tail flicking. "With every second we waste standing around she could get further away from us," he added, and then kept on marching, not paying attention if the others were following or not.  

[NitroScorpio]

"C'mon Creamtail, Warpaw. We better make sure he doesn't hurt Sharpclaw." Duskwind said starting to run after Dawnlight. "But if it is true that's she's betrayed FireClan, then we should bring her to Kindlestar. It's her decision, not ours." She meowed her golden eyes hardening.

Dawnlight flattened his ears but said nothing, keeping his eyes on the trail of scent he was following.

Thrushkit nodded, then looked puzzled. "Wait, we don't have any elders right now, do we?" he looked at the leader in puzzlement as she spoke to Blazewhisper.


Firesong sighed. "Alright, Flamewind, talk to Thorngaze and get some medicine from him. If anyone asks, I'm out collecting herbs." She headed toward the camp entrance, knowing that they'd need all the catmint they could get.

Kindlestar flicked her ear in embarrasment as she heard the kit's mew.

"Of course, we don't... Tell you what then, go stand guard at the entrance. I want you to keep a keen eye on the entrance. If you smell or hear or see any cat, come to me immediately," she told the small kit, hoping to get him interested in some of the warrior duties he would soon be doing as part of his training.  

[Suicidal Rain]

Sprintsong paced back and forth in front of the camps entrance.

Thrushkit nodded somberly. He dashed toward the entrance, keeping his balance pretty well. Standing slightly to the side to that he didn't get run over by returning patrols. He looked at Firesong as she passed by. Thrushkit began to feel slightly dizzy as Sprintsong paced around. "Um, is there anything i can do to help you?" he asked the she-cat, "I'm thrushkit, by the way."

Firesong headed out of the camp, making a beeline for the twoleg garden where she collected catmint, giving Sprintsong a friendly nod as she passed by.. She picked up some famliar fireclan scents along the way. She could swear by Starclan one of them was Sharpclaw.

Creamtail nodded and followed Duskwind, but she didn't say anything.

Dawnlight sniffed the air and noticed they were at the border of their territory. Sharpclaw's scent went onward.

"She has left the territory it would seem," he snarled, flattening his ears. "No point in going forward, unless we want an earful from Kindlestar," he added, a shiver crossing his spine.  

[Suicidal Rain]

Sprintsong nodded back at Firesong and finally sat down. She wondered what Firesong was looking for.  

[NitroScorpio]

"Yeah...we better go tell Kindlestar what we found." Duskwind said reluctantly but started to turn around.

"No!" Creamtail snapped. "Let's keep going."
