Well, the tattoo I have already is a cross with a butterfly wing on it and I consider it an expression of my faith, just as the other tattoo I want will be.
And actually, it didn't hurt nearly as much as one might think it would. The outline was the most uncomfortable. It kinda feels like getting a bee sting on top of a fresh cigarette burn, but it lasts for such a short time that it's more uncomfortable than painful. And in a strange way it felt good. sweatdrop It also depends on where you get it. Mine was on my leg, between my calf and ankle, which is a good place as far as pain goes. Foot tattoos are the worst I've heard, cuz the skin is so thin there. Also, getting tattoos over bone (like spine, wrist, or neck) I've heard are pretty painful.

Hello everyone! Fushigi na Butterfly (I call her Andi) finally convinced me to make a Gaia account and join her guild... Let's see how I do, ne? :3 Here's a little about myself:
My name is Marcy. I go to the same college as Andi, and we're currently studying in Japan together. I like to watch movies, cosplay, and collect lots of cute clothes! <3 My favourite color is rainbow, and a few of my favourite things are: Hearts, stars, rainbows, sunshine rain, chewy chocolate chip cookies, kittens, all things paranormal, techno, and sleeping in moving cars/trains/what have you.
I prefer to classify myself as a spiritually-aware pagan with christian tendancies. Ever since I was a child, I felt as if humans are meant to be connected with nature and it's energies, which lead me into paganism. However, I've since abandoned the worship of "gods" in favour of something a little more subtle. I believe in the energies of the earth, and that by training yourself spiritually and mentally, a human can tap into those energies--a higher sense of awareness.
As for my Christian tendancies: Where other pagans might worship a god and a goddess, I worship God singularly as the entity that compasses both the "god" and "goddess," the source of all the energies of the earth. By meditation and spiritual exercise, one can become more attuned the the "flow" of God's energies. It's like getting a big teddy-bear God hug. :3
That's about it. Sorry about the lengthiness. I'm very particular about my beliefs, and I always want to make sure that there are no misunderstandings so unecessary disputes can be avoided. I'm just trying to cover all my bases. Force of habit, if you know what I mean. biggrin Anyways, I'm always up for some intense, civil debates, and I'm even more excited about meeting new people from all kinds of religions and beliefs. See you around the forums!
