I survived the first day! blaugh Well, I'm definitely going to have to find a new place to park for this class. 3nodding Parking's always been a problem at JCCC, but for some reason this semester is the busiest I've seen to date. xd I am going to try parking at the library parking lot/garage which has about 4 or 5 levels and is across from the building I need to go in for class. We'll see on Wednesday if this works. blaugh I assume it will, but we'll never know. rolleyes

I'm so spoiled these days. Upside of a small private school is super easy parking. When I was going to SLU parking was a nightmare around finals week-- which was infuriating losing spots to twerps who had been skipping all semester.

Also, now it's free where I go. Free versus $180 a semester for basic commuter parking, you do the math.

So, I was planning on joining a playbypost here on gaia with some buddies from the WF.

Seemed to be going good, and then this last week all hell broke loose at home. Wouldn't be a problem. . . if that ALSO hadn't been the week this playbypost started.

Well, let's just say I didn't post early. ((And I'm sure my absense was felt here as well. . .)) and he basically got very passive aggressive about me not being around. So I quit, since I know my life's chaos meter isn't likely to shrink any time soon.

It's just annoying when what I'd rather do becomes the 'task' I need to add to my list.

Understandable. Unfortunately I'm a firm believer that real life trumps virtual life any day. From a mods perspective as much as I love to see people post and participate- I want them to have the time to keep up with their lives. You were definitely missed- as are a few others who are still MIA- but, you've gotta do what you've gotta do.

Mandatory fun is seldom fun. My third and fourth year of college they started requiring those of us with a particular scholarship to go to campus events- something which wasn't required the first two years. Forced campus involvement was less than popular to say the least. The argument was that if campus life wasn't intrinsically satisfying enough why were they forcing us with threats to pull our scholarships for lack of attendance?

Here I am in all my glory! (Or lack thereof, in case you hadn't noticed I'm kind of dressed a lil' emo-ish tonight for some reason. 3nodding )

I have survived my first week of classes (well after tomorrow evening, but I'd say close enough). blaugh My only drawback is the parking, but I've been ranting about that off and on all week anyway. sweatdrop Anyways, I feel a bit better about most of my classes (at least 2 of the 3). So I guess it won't be TOO bad, but I really have to disipline myself BIG time this semester, so I won't be on as much after this month I can almost be certain of that. For better or worse of course.

I've been up and about town since 2:30 this morning and haven't had anything to eat yet (it's 8:30 pm as of this posting). I want to do some writing, but my stomach will have none of it. so I'm just going to eat and play Team Fortress until I can't stay up anymore.

Well, this is just ducky! I smacked my hand aganist one of those wheelchair ramp bars at McDonald's the other day and now my left hand is all bandaged up (and to think I only sprained my pinky, or so the doctor said today). xp

On account of a lack of opportunities and the risk of getting stuck in a crap job, I am moving from Camrose, Alberta, Canada to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. In recent weeks I have managed to find a job, get my old apartment rented out, give notice at my old job, and get everything else sorted out. All that was left that I needed was a place to sleep, so I was waiting for my first choice apartment complex in Edmonton to accept me. Which is what has happened. All I have left to do is to finish packing.
