I go on wikipedia a lot when I'm bored. Japan has a rather interesting sex culture overall. They've really no moral objections since religion's not a big factor, all kinds of things are legal or only nominally illegal and yeah, kinkiness rofl

Also the only form of prostitution that's illegal is direct genital-to0gential, but a 'private agreement' betweeen a man and a woman doesn't count. So like, they have brothels where men sit in booths and get blows jobs, which are legal. Dress-up brothels, massage-parlor/brothels etc, all legal. And this thing where high school age girls are paid to go on date [and sometimes give sexual favors] to older men which is overlooked by authorities and not really considered illegal. Prositution wasn't actually outlawed until the 1950's and even then only in a limited sense. 25% of video games produced are of an erotic/pornographic natures. et al.
