Whisperkit nodded, looking up at Swiftsoul with an admiring gaze in her eyes. "WOW!" she cried, "You're amazing!"  

[Several Octopi]

Swiftsoul gave a sad smile.

"Thank you. Let's go."

Then she turned and darted foreward.

I've never had kits, and now I'll never be able to. To look have a kit look at me with those eyes... i will make the most of it while I can.

Whisperkit padded alongside Swiftsoul. "Hey," she started, "Did you know my mom or my dad?"

Moonlight stood, the cold water shook her from her black out. Thunderstar was already standing and giving orders. "Sunshadow...where are our kits?"

"They're here." He purred and started giving orders again.

(i'm starting to get bored with Moonlight, but for Riverpaw's and Sunshadow's sake I won't kill her...)

Swiftsoul swallowed loudly.

"No. I haven't been around long. So, do you like your warrior training so far?"

She chatted on as though they hadn't just ran for their lives.  

[Konekoko]

Whisperkit looked up her. "I wish..." she mewed, "Thunderstar said I can't until I am six moons old."  

[Several Octopi]

She blinked.

"Oh! That's right. You're a kit."

She laughed softly.

"You sure don't look like one."

Moonsong had walked with the other cats to safety, staying behind the group to make sure no one strayed. But now that the Clan was safe, she had no idea what to do. Whisperkit was talking to some older cat who had a medicine cat smell to her, and she wasn't going to bother Thunderstar. She knew no one in the clan... some of the cats were even giving her strange looks like she didn't belong here!
"What to do, what to do..." she thought to herself.  

[Konekoko]

Whisperkit purred with happiness. "Really?" she asked, smiling up at Swiftsoul, her glee shining in her eyes.

Moonlight smelled a new cat, "Sunshadow, I'm going to see if anyone needs help." She said and walked towards the new cat. "Who are you?" She asked the she-cat, but no hostility in her voice.

"Umm.. I'm Moonsong. Pretty much right after I arrived into camp, the wildfire started. My mom used to be a clan cat, I think, back in Firestar's territory, but left for some reason. She died of Greencough last winter and I've been trying to find the clans ever since. Is this Thunderclan??"

"Really." Swiftsoul confirmed, smiling warmly down at the kit. then she laughed.

"The way of the warrior was never right for me. I chose the way of the medicine cat, because it's a way I can help my clan greatly without being an enemy to everyone who doesn't smell like me."

She laughed again. "But don't misunderstand--warriors are wonderful. They're stong, powerful, loyal, brave--everything a cat should be."

Shadowkit lay curled up at Bluewing, her mother's, feet. "Mama. When do we get to go back to camp?"

"When the fire is gone," Bluewing whispered, but her eyes said different. Shadowkit didn't press the issue. She nodded and closed her eyes.

Nightpaw flopped on her belly as they reached their destination. she watched as cats walked around finding a place to rest. she sighed heavily getting to her paws then walked towards Thunderstar. "is there anything i can do to help?" she asked her leader.
