Kindlestar saw the alarm on the young warrior's face and her whiskers twitched with amusement. With all that had happened, it was no surprise that Cloudyheart was so on edge. "Do not worry, Cloudyheart. I know that many bad things have happened of late, but today I believe it is cause for good news. I have seen that Solarpaw is strong and ready. You have taught her well, and if you agree with me, I think it is time to turn her into a warrior," she mewed at the gray tabby, sitting down next to her.

Cloudyheart relaxed then nodded. "Solarpaw has worked hard; I think she should be a warrior." meowed Cloudyheart, her tail curled around her paws. "She would be a very loyal warrior."

((That wasn't debatable.))

Kindlestar nodded at this. "The ceremony will take place at moonhigh. You might want to tell her the good news," she purred as she got up and headed towards the fresh-kill pile, feeling hungry.

Firesong smiled at the apprentices impatience. The noise he'd made when he charged gave him away. She bounded off into the nearest bramble bush, turning around so that he couldn't catch her back end with his claws, waiting to see how he would respond.

Dawnpaw sneered. When he saw Firesong's reaction he was highly reminded of when he and his brother used to wrestle, and instinctively he threw his big body and Firesong, tackleing her front like if he was a barrel, hoping it would have the same effect as it always had.

Firesong rolled to the side, thrown slightly off by Dawnpaw's size. She quickly rolled over and leaped to her feet, kicking backwards, aiming for Dawnpaw's chest.

Cloudyheart nodded and padded through the entrance of the den toward Solarpaw. "She should be around here." As soon she spotted her apprentice; Cloudyheart dashed over to Solarpaw to tell her the good news. "Solarpaw! You're going to be a apprentice by moonhigh."

Thornpaw padded around the camp, mindlessly. "Where could Firesong could be?" He just sighed and went to the fresh-kill pile, spotting Kindlestar. "Hi!" squeaked Thornpaw, taking a plump mouse. His eyes shone brightly.

Kindlestar looked over at Thornpaw and blinked in greeting at him. She picked a vole for herself and sat down next to the medicine cat apprentice. "You seem cheerful this morning," she purred at him, happy to see that things in camp seemed to finally be picking up.

Dawnpaw spat as Firesong swiped at him and reared back, feeling her claws scraping along his chest, making his ears roar with the heat of battle, forgetting he was only practicing and throwing himself on Firesong, attempting to pin her down.

Firesong heard his yowl and realized things had gotten dangerous. He was an apprentice, but he was big. and already an able fighter. She rolled to the ground, trying to throw him off balance. If he got her pinned, she could be in trouble.

Dawnpaw spat in anger as he missed getting her again, and his tail twitched with anger, his eyes shining dangerously. He hissed at her and unsheathed his claws, getting slowly closer to her, his muscles ready to spring at any moment.

Silverpaw was still laying down where she was, still sad about Dewpool's death. She stare blindly out at camp, sadness in her blank eyes.

"I have to be cheerful so my clanmates can be too." mewed Thornpaw, taking a bite of the mouse. "Do you know where Dawnpaw is?"

Kindlestar nodded in approval of the apprentice and then flattened her ears at the sound of Dawnpaw's name. Come to think of it... I didn't even see him at the meeting... she thought, trying to think were the orange tabby might be.

"Did you try the apprentice's den?" she asked him, knowing that the medicine cat apprenticed slept in the medicine cat den, away from the other apprentices.
