Moonlight ran to the nursery, "Hurry!" She grabbed her kits by the scruff and took them out of the nursery.

"Where are we going, Mama?" Nightkit asked.

Moonlight set her down, "Something horrible is coming towards camp." She grabbed Ashkit then Shadowkit, "Where's Heatherkit?"

"Right here, Mama!" She squeaked.

Moonlight licked her head, "Sunshadow?"

(?- how are we going to switch Sunshadow to Scorpionwing for deputy?)

(wait, I don't think it's fair you control what I say or do :/ My cat wouldn't have said 'what's wrong'. She's a medicine cat-a very sensitive one. She would have understood and tried to nudge you to keep going. And she isn't an impatient cat XDD I'm not mad or anything, but could you please not do that?)

Whisperkit sniffed the air again. It burned her nose. Her eyes wide, she ran to the one place she went for shelter--hidden behind the nursery. She quivered, out of sight of the others, and shut her eyes tightly against the burning smoke. It was sheltered behind here and she relaxed a little. The smoke still smelled bad, but it didn't hurt her nose and eyes as much. She sighed in relief, not knowing the danger the entire clan, including herself, was in.

"WHISPERKIT!!" Minnowpool yelled, then she softened her tone so she wouldn't scare the poor kit. "Come here little one" and the she gently coaxed Whisperkit to her. She flew off carrying her by the teeth to return her to her mother.

Moonlight stayed with her kits, Sunshadow carried Nightkit and Moonlight carried Heatherkit, the other two ran beside them. "Hurry, little ones!" Moonlight yelled behind Heatherkit's scruff. They pushed a bit faster.

"Go back...someone is in trouble..." Moonlight came to a hault at the sound of Firecloud's voice. She dropped Heatherkit and ran back towards the camp.

The smell of smoke made it impossable to smell, "Where are they, Firecloud? Guide my paws!" She coughed and ducked down. The air was mostly clear and she could smell better. She walked towards the scent of two cats. Finally the scent told her it was Thunderstar. "Thunderstar!" Moonlight yelled. She tripped over something and Thunderstar's scent was under her.

"Hang in there," She whispered and grabbed his scruff. She began to drag him out. Soon she could barely breath, "Firecould!" She yelled and coughed again. "You're almost there..." Firecloud whispered. Moonlight nodded and grabbed Thunderstar's scruff again.

After what seemed like forever Moonlight could breath fresh air. She colapsed on the ground next to Thunderstar. "Moonlight!" It was Sunshadow. Teeth grabbed her scruff and she was dragged away.

"Where's Novakit?" Whisperkit mewed frantically, looking around.

Nightpaw smelled the strong smoke. she started coughing then started to help the elders get out of camp. Honeyfur started to slow down. "come on Honeyfur! you can do this!" she draged the small after Moonlight. then Sunshadow started to lead.

(ummmm im lost! What am I doing right now? and where is this mysterious fire?)
Riverpaw raced into camp, grabbing the few remaining cats as Bear did the same. Smoke blurred her vision, but her feet found a farmiliar path. She laid her tail on Bears shoulder "Come, this way!" She quickly raced out of camp with Bear careening behind her.

Sunshadow led them towards a river. "through the river!" Sunshadow meowed. Nightpaw ran behind Honeyfur who was moving fast for her age. "we're almost there!" Sunshadow called.

Whisperkit stumbled along beside the others, before tripping paws over ears into the river.

Swiftsoul darted forewarf and helped the kit regain his balance, then carried him quickly across the river. When she set him down on the other side, she smiled warmly at him.

"I have a knack for swimming."

She explained, though something in her eyes said that there was more to the story.

"Can you keep up?"

She asked Whisperkit, while she turned to watch the other cats running while she waited for an answer.
