((Yes, you can get a ceremony now Ghoskit, as I believe that the one you were assigned mentor then never connected.... And we haven't had a deputy for over a month now... So no, Dewpool's dying did not create the lack of deputy.))

Kindlestar glanced at the kit and at the body of the old queen. Her ears flattened as she thought about how much evil seemed to be transpiering in her territory. She looked up at Firesong, her eyes hollow. "How is the kit?" she asked.

"There is a queen right now in the nursery... Venomkit's mom..." Dawnpaw muttered. "I'm sure she wouldn't mind taking care of Sorrowkit," he added quietly, surprising even himself.

Firesong looked warmly at the apprentice. "that's a great idea, Dawnpaw. As for the kit, it's healthy as far as i can tell, but i'll give her a closer look when we get back to camp." her expression was unreadable.

Dawnpaw nodded and padded away, heading towards the apprentice's den, having lost his appetite.

Kindlestar glanced as the young apprentice padded away and glanced back at Firesong. "Do you need help carrying her?" she asked, her tail giving a flick.
