Hahaha, I tend to rewrite, check grammar and spelling...which is probably what is taking up my time sweatdrop

I try to rewrite grammar, but I never know if what I've written is wrong, so nothing tends to get changed for the better really. gonk

I'm a Grammar Nazi, seriously. I can look at a text and alway pick out something that doesn't quite go. It's all about the flow and I think it just because I edit a lot of other people's work. I find it easy for me to take a back seat to my own work and know what has to be changed. Hahaha...

I get the feeling I would be a Grammar Nazi if I knew more about the rules of grammar. We were never really taught them, so what I know I've picked up from books. I don't know if what I'm doing is right, or what the rules are called (I mean, the only 'terms' I know are things like verb, adverb and adjective, I couldn't tell you many others to save my life!) It's a sad state of affairs. D=

Hahah I take English Language at A Level and if you don't know grammar, you don't pass. It is quite complicated at times but once you get your head round it, it's fine. Pronouns I had no idea about until last year xD

I suppose I should do some research. Although, my university lecturers have always said my grammar was fine, so I don't really know what I need to improve! Maybe all those years of reading have paid off? I mean, my writing can't be that bad if none of my lecturers or my creative writing tutor have picked up on them. XP

The editing is going well! It is slow, but at least it is happening. I do a couple of chapters here, a couple there, only when I feel like it, and I hope this makes the editing feel like less of a chore. So far there have been no plot rehauls at all, only little changes in sentence structure. I hope that I do not need to change much in the rest of the novel either.

Right now I should be planning for another university assignment, but I've decided to do some editing first. It's becoming like writing; it's a way to treat myself to a hobby, a way to get lost in a world that has absolutely nothing to do with anything that I'm studying. And soon, when the novel is complete, I'll be able to start writing something new. I'm looking forward to that very much, because I'm beginning to get itchy fingers again. X3

I'll write more about the new novel when I have a more solid idea, and when I have the time to fully think it over. : D

• Finish Gunmetal and Lace as soon as humanly possible.
  
• Attempt to write short stories for both of the guild contests (ONE DOWN!)
  
• Go through GaL with a finetooth language comb (In progress!!)
  
• Fix all plot holes
  
• Create .pdf document with correct page sizes, font sizes, etc. (I may need help here! I always screw up my margines...)
  
• Create front cover/back cover for the novel
  
• Upload to createspace.com and get that damn proofcopy ordered!

With regards to weight loss, at the weekend I used the home scales to see how my running/yoga has affected my body. Apparently I've lost half a stone in just over a month! This pleases me to NO end. I'm hoping that by the time I go home in three weeks for Easter I might have lost another quarter of a stone, or something like that. <3

No, indeed! Not to mention I'm always missing things first time around anyway. Plus, it'll nice to be able to read it, once it's been edited once, and think "Man, this sounds so much better this time; I can't wait to show my mum..." lol. Not likely, but I can hope, right? =D
