[Several Octopi]

Swiftsoul was content to sit and listen to the little wisps of conversation that the wind carried her way. But it wasn't the only thing the wind carried. She sniffed the air and gasped.

"Thunderstar!"

She yelled.

"Smoke! I smell smoke!"

Moonsong started to smell it too. "Where are your kits, elders, or medicine cat den?" She said to the closest cat. "What can I do to help?"  

[Several Octopi]

"I'm the medicine cat." Swiftsoul informed Moonsong. "You can help me by rouding up all the cats. I'll take two cats to go find out where the fire is coming from. Thunderstar, are you coming, too, or staying with the clan?"

Moonlight skitted to a stop, "Smoke..." Her patrol stopped with her. They had just exited the camp. "What?" Riverpaw sniffed the air.

"It is smoke," Bear said. "I remember that smell from my twolegs." His noses curled.

"This isn't good." Moonlight said. "Bear, Riverpaw, you come with me to figure out where the smoke is coming from." They headed towards the smell.

Riverpaw silently padded along, unconsionsly resting her tail on Bears shoulder  

[Several Octopi]

"Monlight, wait!" Swiftsoul bounded over to her, just ouitside the camp. "Take me with you."

Moonlight stopped, "Of course, but stay close."

The four cats raced along, following the scent of fire. Well, they must call this Fireclan for a reason Riverpaw thought to herself. Suddenly, she recoiled. "Whats wrong?" ask Swiftsoul, impatenly padding in place. "I scent burning flesh! There is no way I'm going over ther-" She was nudged along by Bear before she could finish her sentence.

(wait, I don't think it's fair you control what I say or do :/ My cat wouldn't have said 'what's wrong'. She's a medicine cat-a very sensitive one. She would have understood and tried to nudge you to keep going. And she isn't an impatient cat XDD I'm not mad or anything, but could you please not do that?)

Swiftsoul Padded quietly after them, scenting the air every few heartbeats.

Moonlight stopped, the smell of fire burned her nose. "Bear, what do you see?" She asked.

Bear looked around, "Nothing, the sky is darkened by smoke. But nothing out of the-" Suddenly bright orange was in front of them. "FIRE!" He yelled. "Right in front of us, hurry!"

(i'm not quiet sure what were doing...)

Whisperkit's head jerked up as she caught the smell of smoke. "What is that?" she asked. The scent burned her nostrils and, even though she had never encountered anything like it, it scared her. She hurried over to the nearest adult, Moonsong, and asked, "What is that smell?"

Moonlight easily passed everyone, running straight for the camp. She burst into the camp. "Thunderstar!" She scented him out and ran over to him. "Fire...coming...right...towards...us..." She gasped.

Bear was shocked at how fast she was, but kept running.

"Get everyone together!"

Swiftsoul called.

"We have to get away from camp!"

"Why?" Whisperkit asked but nobody answered.
