Leon took the hint, and dropped the apple into the bag with a smile.
He then looked toward the direction that she was pointing to, tilting his head to the side slightly.
"No. I'm afraid I have never been to that stand before." he said, visibly excited at the mention of snacks.
Since he wasn't the type to go outside a lot, he hasn't really explored much of the town square yet.
I wonder if they have any sweets. He thought to himself, his usually dim eyes brightening slightly.

Zana paid the merchant for her apples and the man's apples as she nodded to the merchant quickly. She had a choice too escape now as the man was distracted with her mention of a stall with snacks. But she felt no danger from him; just curiosity. It has been awhile since she spoke to anyone... she quickly remembered a stall selling delicious sweets "I believe the stall next to it is selling a kind of flat cake like pancake with fruits and cream; I think it was called a crepe" Zana loved sweets and in her excitement she looked up at the man and made eye contact. Quickly she looked away and fixed her hood as she pointed at the stall next too it.

Leon tilted his head slightly as he watched her quickly pay for her apples, and his too.
"..."
When she mentioned the stall selling the crepes, he turned his head toward it, completely excited at the prospect of getting his hands on some delicious treats.
"That sounds good." he commented, as he stared at the stall.
Then he turned his head toward the girl.
"Why don't we all go take a look? As a thanks for the apples and the wonderful conversation, I will treat you two."
He gave them both a light smile, keeping his dark eyes on the girl.

Zana could feel him watching her closer now. Perhaps paying for his apples made her seem even more suspicious... she didn't think about it thoroughly enough as she did the act. Perhaps its time to go. Bowing her head slightly "Thank you but perhaps another day". Zana quietly turned around as she started to make her leave.

Leon leaned forward, grabbing her hand gently.
"I insist." he said, as he kept his gaze on her, "Please allow me to repay your kindness for the wonderful apples."
He was hit with a sudden weakness, but he held on to her hand, determined.
He could feel his energy slipping, and it was getting harder to maintain his human form.

Wide eyed Zana quickly changed the flow of energy and started pouring it back into him through his hand. "N-no its okay". Cutting all connection off now as she pulled her hand away from his; she stared up at the man as she stepped back; rubbing her hands together while holding her bag of apples. "I'm sorry". Zana looked around as she eyed a crowd that was walking towards them.

Leon watched her as she back away from him, seemingly surprised by his sudden action.
...Interesting.
"No, I'm the one who is supposed to be sorry." he said, giving the girl some space, "My apologies for my sudden actions."
He then gave her a smile.
"My name is Leon Aeon. Pleased to make your acquaintance, though the circumstances of our first meeting may have not been the best. I'm sorry to have bothered you today. But if a chance arises in the future, please allow me to repay you, if we meet again."

"Zana", stepping back into the crowd that finally reached them she quickly blended in with them in a blink of an eye and was simply gone. Using her ability as a half vampire she basically walked away quickly phasing through the crowds until she found herself back on the path she started from. Looking back at the crowd she could see the two men still at the stall as she looked over to them from the hill. "Leon" she whispered it to herself as she took her hood down too feel the cold breeze. Perhaps they will meet again.

Leon watched her as she left, and then turned to Jacobi.
"Well, if you have some time, Sir Flameborn, why don't we try out some of the food around here? It seems that both of us are quite new to the stalls in this area."
He gave him a smile.

Jacobi had not been paying much attention to the exchange that went on. Right around the time the girl approached the stall, he felt a cold chill run through him. That was strange. This meant some kind of creature of the night- either a spirit or an undead- was nearby.

He slowly took a bite out of his apple as he scanned the area around them. Nothing seemed to be out of place. Surely, a creature like that couldn't be so stupid as to try and attack such a crowded place, right? But, then, one never could trust the dead. Besides that, something else felt off, like his energy was being drained out of him. Was that the plan of whatever this creature was? Could his unliving kin be making a move now?

He half-listened as his new acquaintance spoke with the girl. She seemed cute, he should speak with her. Unfortunately, now seemed not to be the time.

Next thing he knew, a crowd passed by and the chill disappeared, as did the girl. How odd. It seemed whatever was here must have gotten what it wanted. That may be something to be concerned with. But that was not until later.

"Oh, my, sorry." Jacobi said as he was snapped out of this train of thought by Leon speaking.

He chuckled nervously, "This man is not a sir, at least not now. This man is thankful, but he has not earned such a title."

"Anyway, certainly." Jacobi said, gesturing in the direction of the stand they were told about. "I would be happy to indulge a bit in some of the local foods. Do you think anyone around here serves a nice ale to go along with it?" He asked in passing.

Leon smiled at him, noting his slight interest and confusion at the girl that appeared out of nowhere.
"I think a few of the stalls over there have quite the selection." he told him, as he directed them to the stall with people sitting on small tables nearby.
They both sat down, and Leon placed his order of nearly every single sweet item on the menu.
The vendor then turned his gaze toward Jacobi, his eyebrows raised in question of what the other man was going to order.

Jacobi met the man's gaze and ordered a few of the different styles of crepe that were available. This was a food he had not experienced before, but the way the girl earlier described it sounded enticing enough. He then added on a request for a mug of some of their best ale to go along with it.

As the waiter walked away, Jacobi turned his attention back to the man across the table.

"I'm sorry, I don't believe I answered your question from earlier." He began, "It's not so much that I intend to settle here, but I journeyed out here to see if there was any way I could help the cause. One can only do so much wandering these lands on their own."

Leon gazed at Jacobi calmly as he spoke.
"There certainly is such a limit on one man's capabilities." he said, as the waiter arrived with their food.
He stared at the treats laid out in front of him, picking up a spoon and digging into the pudding-like dessert.
"Do you wish to offer your assistance to the noble Leader of Light?" He asked, as he played with the spoon in his hands, turning it over and over as if it was a rare creature.

Jacobi grabbed one of his desserts in his hand, taking a large bite out of it. He put it down more slowly and stared at the table before looking back up at Leon. He swallowed heavily before speaking.

"I..." He paused, "Yes." He said simply.

"I want to help however I can, and I feel that's how I would best serve the cause."

Leon stopped turning the spoon in his hand, staring right at Jacobi in silence.
A brief moment passed, and then he slowly smiled.
"That's certainly dedication worthy of notice." He said, as he committed the details of the man before him to memory.
After all, they may soon be comrades fighting for the very same cause.
"Your desire to aid may be answered sooner than you would expect."
He would be a valuable asset to our faction. Leon, the Royal Tactician, thought to himself.
