So if you're ever feeling down,
Grab your purse and take a taxi

Hotaka woke with a start. It was just a dream, he swung his legs over the side of the double bed he slept in and stood up, rubbing his eye. He rolled his head on his neck, and yawned once more. The room was dark, a tiny line of light making it in through heavily patterend curtains, the type of curtains you see in fifties movies. Opening the curtains, Hotaka ruffled his silver hair and blinked, then turned as the door opened and a maid entered. "Oh, my! I'm very sorry sir! I'll come back later!" Hotaka tilted his head in confusion and watched the red-faced old lady leave. Then it dawned on him that he was wearing only his boxers. Chuckling slightly, he pulled on a crumpled pair of trousers, and a long sleeve blue top, along with a shorter sleeved suit jacket.

He entered the lobby with a husky smirk, and walked up to the reception,
"My room can be cleaned now" He adressed the receptionist with authority, and when she nodded, he simply walked outside. The motel was ran like a hotel and Hotaka made sure it was of the hightest standard. The sun warmed his face as he stood on the porch, facing a long carpark. He smiled and sat on one of the steps that led to the carpark. Everything was right in The Valentine's leader's mind.

Kumi's eye's flickered as she awoke from her usual deep slumber. Letting out a roar of a yawn, she sat up stretching before stumbling out of bed throwing on a silk bed coat. Covering her mouth with her hand, she yawned again, but this time it wasn't so loud. Her nails had small prints of flowers painted on them as they were long and delicate. Her hair threw itself all over the place in her sleep, as that was what she woke up to every morning. Picking up the phone she dialled for dome food to be sent up before she actually got ready, as they always said that breakfast was the most important meal of the day. Placing the phone down, she smirked as she sank into the comfy palace that was her king-sized bed. If anything she loved her bed, and she could only sleep on the comfiest one's.

A light tap at the door startled Kumi, as she shout in her gentle voice,
Come in! She changed the tone of her voice to suit her, whether she was in a fight, or simply answering the door. A small Petit maid came in with a tray, that consisted of what Kumi liked to call breakfast, An apple and some tomato soup. Even that was more lunch, she preferred to call it breakfast. She thanked the maid, and watched her scurry out of her room, as she dragged herself over to the table. Digging in strait away, and within seconds, it was gone, but the bottom of the bowl was left that tomato red colour, with an apple core beside it. She lay back for her stomach to digest for a bit before slipping into the shower.

Leaving wet footprints across her bedroom floor, Kumi dried herself off before shoving on her kimono, which she wore a white satin corset under and she draped the kimono over her shoulders, as it is tied tightly around her so called wait. She was skinny, with hardly any meat on her, probably the perfect model, but she loved her guns more. Sliding her twin pistols into the satin waist tie, she sat over by her dresser applying her make-up. She wore her make-up in a rather scary way, as most girls used i=it to make them look nice, but she preferred a more scary look. Well what would you expect from a girl in a Gang? Once she was ready she stumbled out of her room, and down to the lobby as she liked to annoy the desk lady.

Hotaka eventually stood, streching and groaning, then walking down the stairs, his shoes making harsh metal clunking sounds that cut through the silence. He turned to look back at the motel when he reached the carpark and he smiled when he saw Kumi was awake. He dug his hands in his front pockets, his cold fingers curling round the silver handle of his switchblade. The motel was the only building the valentines had tagged, on the worn-down sign was a single white rose on a long thorned stem, red paint on the tips of the roses petals symbolised blood.

Hotaka rubbed the back of his neck then waved at Kumi, as he began walking away. He was hungry but he didn't trust food prepared by anyone other than the chef at a small run-down restaurant, an old comrade of his father.

Receiving a wave of Taka, Kumi's face glowed with a happy expression, I wonder where he's going,She pondered to herself, deciding whether or not to follow him. Tapping her fine nails against the desk with her chin dug into her hand, as she was slumped over the desk, she nodded as she took off, wanting to catch up with him. Her bare feet clashing against the stone steps out side of the motel, she flew down them, and out onto the path. She never wore shoe's or socks. She felt as if she was suffocating her feet wearing them. Kumi stopped for a brief moment turning her head frantically looking for him, amongst the crowd of people going in all different direction's on this one small path.

Seeing the back of taka's head, a smile whipped across Kumi's face.
Bingo! She said out loud, not realizing, but also receiving funny looks off randomers she had never met in her life. She flung herself into what she called a run, which was her back was hunched, and her arms trailing behind her, but also sprinting. She liked to make her own things unique, and also she bet up anyone who copied so no one ever did.

Grabbing Taka's arm, she halted into the pace he was going at. She looked up at him, and smiled
Where are we off to then? She clutched onto his arm, as she just invited herself, to where-ever he was going. Kumi always did that, she just liked being with someone, whether it was the Leader, or some cleaner. I guess you could call her the outgoing type? She shoved her kimono up, over her tattoo, and onto her shoulder as she left the other side bare. People didn't respect tattoo's, as they were a sign, as if to say that they were bad people. In her case they are right to think that, but Kumi always thought that it was wrong and stereotypical.

So if you're ever feeling down,

As Hotaka walked, he felt someone grab his arm, he turned to look, readying his hand to pull out his slip knife, he had taught himself not to trust anybody, well, he trusted Kumi, and this time it was Kumi's face he saw when he looked round. He chuckled, gently unhooking her fingers from his arm and linking their arms instead. "It's not often people join me on my expiditions!" He kept his eyes forward as he spoke, shoving through the crowds and ignoring the looks he got, he was mainly walking for his own benefit, but, today he was on the hunt for rival gang members too. "So, you will be going me when I eat then?" It wasn't really a question, he walked with her down to the scummy side of the city, steering her out of the way of used needles and broken glass on the street, this was the part of town where it was easy to get into drugs, and crime was common. The valentines weren't seen there often, he made sure of it.

The outside of the restaurant that Hotaka liked to eat at, looked disgusting. To Hotaka, it looked welcoming. The outside walls were once a white shingle, now stained grey and falling apart from vandilism. Some parts where a patchy color, where graffiti had been painted off. A small tag rested on the top left hand side on the door, the same tag on the motel sign. Hotaka had taken it upon himself to do that, a silent warning to the graffiti artists to stay away. To enter, the two valentines had to walk through a wall of smoke, from sleepy, hungover smokers, standing outside, puffing away happily. He pushed the door open and dragged Kumi to a table in the corner, and when a drunken waitor came over, he pointed to three things on the torn menu, and as he did so, realised the waitor wasn't paying attention, instead he was eyeing up Kumi. Hotaka slammed his fist on the table to get his attention back and he pointed to the menu again, this time making sure the waitor got a glimpse of the tattoo on his wrist, showing him to be the leader of the gang. The waitors face looked ashen as he scurried away, Hotaka chuckled, knowing soon, the fat middle-aged chef would plod out to have drunken conversation with Hotaka. He wondered how he would react when he gained the knowledge that Hotaka had brought a friend.

Smiling back, at taka's focused face, she kept a sharp eye, looking down at the scummy path, dodging anything unusual, or sharp that she could cut her feet on. Well, i don't like being alone, and i like to talk to my leader once in a while... She got quieter as they walked passed a few druggies and such. Her sleeve slipped down, and one of her guns, became on show. Food sounds good, even though i have already eaten. She smirked as they approached a small scummy, place. There were cracks running up and down the walls and it probably wasn't her choice in restaurant either.

Clouds of smoke, swirled around her as she held her sleeve cover her hand, over her mouth. Staring in disgust at the sloppy people, carrying themselves in such a manner. She was appalled. She sat down at a small corner table, Taka sitting opposite, as the drunken waiter came over. She stared at him, then her guns, but she also watched Taka, as he protected her against him. He scuttled away, as she laughed to herself.
So why are we eating here, when you could eat somewhere nicer? she asked him, curious of his choice in restaurant's.

She received many look's of what they would call flirting, the minuet she walked in the door. She knew if one layed a finger on her, they would be dead. Killed by either herself or Taka. Laughing at the thought, Glared at a man in the corner, who stared at her in that way. From under the table, she raise her hand and stuck her muddle finger up, and also her tongue, before turning back to Taka,
Sorry I hate people who stare at me like that. She gave him a friendly smile, as in her head all she could think about was getting out of this dump as fast as she could, but it would be sad for her to leave Taka, So she stayed, as it would keep him company.

Hotaka smiled inwardly at Kumi's question, she seemed surprised that he wanted to eat here, turning to look at her, he began a short explanation. "The chef here was a close friend of my fathers in the stained bullets, when my father was killed, he left and began this place. He's not a bad cook, and sometimes he will come and we will speak." he chuckled as Kumi warned off a man in the corner, then as if almost on queue the chef appeared out from the kitchens, smiling warmly at Hotaka as he plodded over to their table, arms stretched in welcoming. "Hotaka, my boy! I haven't seen you in a while!" he sat down at the the table, causing it to be pushed slightly into Kumi from the sheer size of the table. The chef, suddenly noticing her, looked her up and down and frowned. "Not often you bring friends, Hotaka, who is this?" in his voice was a well disguised hint of disapproval, which Hotaka ignored. "This is Kumi, she's my vice." The chef nodded once, staring at Kumi, then offered his hand for her to shake, "A friend of Hotaka's is a friend of mine!" he exclaimed warmly, smiling. Hotaka raised an eyebrow, noticing how the chef seemed to avoid the fact he had chosen a woman as vice, then again, the old man had come from a breed of men who believed woman should stay at home, he didn't doubt his father would have had the same reaction.

After a while of awkward conversation, and Hotaka dropping hints that heactually came for food and not conversation, the man waddled away, and Hotaka turned to face Kumi,
"Pay no attention to him, he always has been a bit stand-offish." he grinned, and folded his arms on the table.

Kumi smiled as Hotaka explained the situation. Her eyes flickered as she watched carefully as the chef came in. When he began to talk she felt very uncomfortable, as Kumi didn't have a single clue on what was going on. All she knew was that he was good friends of the chef who owned the skanky restaurant and that was all. Kumi smiled as he looked at her, as Taka explained who i was. She gave a quick wave before, stuffing her hand back under the table. Nudging her kimono over her shoulder she slid into the back of the chair, making herself comfortable. She gave her hand, as the chef offered, and said politly, Nice to meet you too, She pulled her hand back, and layed it onto the table as she continued to watch their conversation.

After a few short moments, the chef waddled away, probably to bring the food out. Kumi wasn't that hungry as she ate before she left, not knowing that she was going to be in a restaurant about half an hour later. She didn't order anything, she was just there to keep Hotaka company. Hotaka did things normally by himself, and he didn't speak much to people. Kumi guessed he wasn't a people person. Nodding, Kumi replied to Taka,
Yeah, to be honest its okay, i dont mind him, just those other ******** over there, She stared at the group of drunk men, wasting there lives getting wasted every day, she hated people like that. In some ways Kumi respected her father, as he gained owner ship of his business, all by himself. He started at the bottom and worked to the top, Even though he was a selfish cow, Kumi respected that in most people, especially Hotaka.

"One..."
The puff of warm air moved from his lips, his head lowered to the black scope.
"Two..."
His finger, curling around the trigger. The silence would have made a long-dead corpse shriek.
Lysanders white fur lining was flipped under his collar to conceal him in the darkness of a water tower, ninety-three feet from an unknown street level dealer. What was going on in that mans head, he had to know where he was, either way, it was too late...
"Three..."
Thanks to the silencer, all was heard was a muffled pop noise and the mans chest caved in, and he collapsed. Lysander pressed the call button on his cellphone and three men walked to the corpse and removed the bullet, from the wall and dropped their signature rose and pistol on the body.

A man took the rifle from Lysander as he stood, turning away to take a flask and put it to his mouth. He took more than enough time to leave the tower, climbing down the ladder and
walking towards neutral territory.
He was heading to a cafe he quite enjoyed, something of ritual to him after killing, to release his guilt over coffee and possible chat with a stranger.

Hotaka turned to look at the group of men, he shook his head,"If you are really uncomfortable with them then you can go, I really wouldn't mind" he smiled, turning back to Kumi, as a plate of food arrived. Hotaka began picking at it with his fingers, the cutlery was never clean in the small restaurant. As he ate he made light conversation with Kumi, not often referring to the gang, but when he did, it was in a code only the valentines would understand. Soon the plate of food was empty and Hotaka was wiping his fingers on a paper napkin.

Kumi smiled, I better go anyways, i have some things to take care of and some people to visit. Her voiced choked as she excused herself, hoping that Hotaka didn't ask her any questions about where she was going. She stretched up, standing with her right hand dug into the belt of her kimono, clutching her gun in case anyone was to follow out of the restaurant, and attack her because they where drunk. She moved gracefully in and out the tables, receiving grins off many various people, as she left through the double swinging doors. She swiftly moved up the thin path, dodging any needles, and glass, that could cut her feet.

As Kumi walked into what they would call the good side of town, where no druggies or alcoholics stayed, she removed her hand from the satin sash, to place it by her side. The tall motel stood in the distance inching closer, as kumi approached the entrance of the Valentines Motel. As she came in the doors, a man pulled it open for her. Thanking him she waltzed up to the receptionist, and said sternly, as she hated the receptionist with a passion.
Call a car for me from around the back. Immediatelyher sharp stare, got the receptionist on the phone within seconds, and Kumi left the building as she slid into a posh black car.

As the car pulled up outside a large mansion, she grinned. The car door clicked, as she pushed it open, and the chauffeur giving his hand to help her out. A slim woman, and a 10 year old came out of the large house. she stood there smiling, watching the 10 year old boy run up to her, shouting her name loudly.
Kyo, its nice to see you too, She said softly patting him on the head, and pulling away from his grasp, but then taking him by the hand. She strode up to the house, smiling as the woman greeted her, hello, mother, how have you been keeping? She smiled softly as the three of them entered her family house. all that Kumi hoped for was that her father wasn't home, as that would have lead to more unneeded arguments

When Kumi was gone, Hotaka seemed to relax more. He had felt bad for keeping her there when it was obvious she didn't want to be. HE sat back in his chair, drumming his pale fingers on the greasy table, and looking up and the ceiling. With one hand, he ran his fingers through his silver hair, curling his legs up under him. The waiter appeared and Hotaka ordered coffee, which came in another five minutes. When it did, Hotaka began pouring milk in the cup, until the coffee was practically white. He took a gulp, and settled further in the chair. Rubbing his cold hands on the boiling cup.

Hotaka chuckled as an old man began trying to hit on a skinny red haired girl at the bar, he shook his head and dropped a sugar cube in his coffee. Hotaka closed one eye and took another sip, of what was now just sweet milk with a kick in it. The constant buzz of noise in the run-down cafe was a comforting sound to him, this cafe was somewhere he, like his father before him loved.

Who is this man I stare?
Mirror reflects a stranger

Lysander had found a cup of tea more than enough for him for his evening. Collecting his things, and putting a twenty into the 'tips' jar he put his hands to the collar of his coat, letting the bright white fur lining surround his neck and some of his chin.
Before leaving the sorry sight of a young man sitting down by himself caught his eye, something happened and he walked behind the stranger, his hand fished out his phone, pretending he received a text telling him somebody of importance wanted him to stay a bit longer he took a seat beside the young man.

With some fake texting back he put his cellphone on the table and took a glance at him with the corner of his eye, and his heart skipped. Something about this man was off, but a finger couldn't for the life of him tell what.

Hotaka almost jumped when another man sat next to him, he turned and eyed him carefully, placing his coffee down on the table, not thinking about it, but showing his tattoo off to anyone who wanted to see it. Was he another over zealous drunk? He didn't smell like one, but there was one way to tell. "Hello" he sniffed, trying to check if he actually was drunk, but then again, he could be high... One thing Hotaka was sure of he was glad Kumi had left when she had, she always attracted the wrong sort of attention even though her make-up was done in a way that gave her face a creepyness to it, men were still attracted to her, although Hotaka wasn't really that bothered with relationships he noticed these things.

Noticing the man who had sat next to him was sort of on edge, Hotaka pushed his hand into his pocket, clutching his switch blade tightly, he pulled his legs out from under himself and readied himself to stand and, well, stab. He took another sip of his coffee, this time making sure his tattoo was seen, if this man was a real danger, he wouldn't back down even with the knowledge he was sitting next to the valentines leader, who could have back-up dotted all round the cafe.
