"Sure!" Sunpaw brightened up at a chance to be friends with the small, quiet Riverkit, and Moonpaw too. He squeezed his way into the den and curled up, watching the rain drizzle outside. FireClan's territory didn't get rain often, but they had the Fire Pond to keep them cool. Unfortunatly, the Fire Pond got it's water from the same river that fills the Snow Pool, a small pool inside SnowClan's territory, so some cats stay clear of that too. Once, and elder even complained of tasting SnowClan's scent in the water. Thank StarClan, Sunpaw thought, The elders cant find fault if I bring them rain water.

"My day was fine I guess," Moonpaw sighed and looked up as Sunpaw's scent joined the group. "I had training to day with Rainwish, he's so mean, just because I can't see he doesn't think I can find my way around the forest." Anger burned through Moonpaw, but was quickly extinguished when Sunpaw's fur touched hers. "Hi, Sunpaw!" Moonpaw mewed a bit to loud.

"I'm sorry, Moonpaw, Rainwish is just a stubborn badger because he didn't get a different apprentice. He'll losen up, just give him a moon." Firecloud mewed and purred at the sight of Moonpaw lightining up around Sunpaw.

(I love his name...Sunpaw...awesome!!!)

"I hate it when they do that!" spat Riverkit. All curious heads turned to the kit as she continued. "They treat you like you're different even though you're not!" Moonpaw nodded her head, saying "They are uncomfortable with me because I am blind. What to you?" Riverkit sat back down, meowing "They give me all this fake sympathy for living with drunk two-legs. They don't seem to understand that we are normal cats!" Everyone was surprized that Riverkit had said so much. "Also," she concluded, grinning "They get uncomfortable with my silence and my just staring at them. It gives them the creeps."

"Don't worry, Riverkit." Moonpaw looked in the direction of Riverkit's scent. "We'll be the best warriors in the clan and show them!" Moonpaw yawned and set her head on her paws. "All this frustrating talk is making me tired." She closed her eyes and feel into a deep sleep.

Sunpaw listened to the rain against the den, barely able to keeps his eyes open. Before he knew it he was asleep, awash in a dream...

He woke up the next morning, curled up next to Moonpaw. He looked at her and thought, When she's asleep, you couldn't ever tell she's blind. Sunpaw stood up and stretched his legs, and walked out of the den to get some breakfast.

Riverkit had a hard night sleeping. Sunpaw got up and left in the morning. "Bye" she whispered. She saw him dash out to the fresh kill pile and pick out a(n) *insert animal here*. Riverkit smiled, and got up. She gave an enormous stretch and followed her nose to the pile. She picked out a mouse and dragged it over to outside the nursery. Firecloud stirred. Riverkit looked at the mouse and then to Moonpaw as she walked over to Riverkit. "Hey," began the uncertain Riverkit, with a hint of embarresment. "I know it's dead, but could you teach me how to... ya know, like catch prey using it?" her face flushed in embarresment. Moonpaw let out a mrrow of laughter but said, "Sorry, Riverkit. I have to go on a patrol today. I can get back early to teach you, though." Riverkit sagged but brightened as she asked fiercly "Oooh are you on a porder patrol? Let me know if there is a battle!" flexing her claws "I would tear those cats to shreds!" she said, pretending that the beetle was a warrior crossing her borders. Moonpaw laughed and walked away.

Sunpaw grabbed a thrush and walked back to the den, where Moonpaw was just leaving. She accidentally bumped into him.

"Oh! Sunpaw!" she mewed, embarrassed.
"I guess you didn't see me there....i mean, scent me." Sunpaw replied, feeling awkward. "Sorry."

"Oh, it's okay." Moonpaw meowed, "I have to...um...go on a patrol. I'll see you...well, you know what i mean." and with that, she dashed off to join the patrol.

Riverkit stared, puzzeled after Moonpaw. Why was she so embarrassed? Suddenly it dawned on her- Did Moonpaw like Sunpaw????? Riverkits ears burned with embarrasment at figuring this out. She herself liked Sunpaw, and Moonpaw was her friend.

(heh heh nothin better than a cat-fight over a tom. lol!)

Sunpaw watched Moonpaw dash off. Feeling a bit awkward, he stumbled back into the den where Riverkit was waiting with Firecloud. He wondered if Moonpaw had feelings for him, but the way Riverkit's eyes sparkled when he came back, he couldnt help thinking Riverkit liked him too. This only made Sunpaw happy and in an unnormally cheerful mood.

Firecloud looked down at Riverkit, "Want to go fight in front of the nursery? My legs need a bit of streching." She walked out of the den and waited for Riverkit to join her.

Moonpaw walked through the forest, keeping her nose close to the ground. Her thoughts kept drifting to Sunpaw, she couldn't imagine what he looked like. But his voice was so kind, and his scent was amazing. She sighed and stopped once she smelled the powerful scent of Woodclan.

(lol, ya...nothing at all like a good cat fight!)

Stripedkit wandered into the clearing. She was hungry and lonely, but she decided not to say anything. She sat down and watched all of the activity going on in the camp.

(well, i say we deserve some juicy drama here!)
"Sure. I bet I can take you down!" challenged Riverkit. Firecloud accompanied the small Riverkit to the entrance and was taken by surprise. Riverkit twisted beneath her feet and pulled her legs out from under her. The unsuspecting Riverkit became the now squished Riverkit. She squirmed out from under Firecloud only to be lightley batted away. Thinking quickly, Riverkit went limp. "Hey, Riverkit, are you all right?" asked Firecloud nervously, hurrying to the kit's side. Riverkit lauched herself at the bewildered cat and triumphantly (sp?) landed on her stomach. "Ha!" boasted Riverkit. She couldn't help but look over to Sunpaw, and hope she had impressed him. Firecloud escaped and shook some dirt out of her fur. "So how'd I do?" questioned Riverkit.

Sunpaw had watched the whole fight, impressed that small Riverkit took down Firecloud. Firecloud was not a small cat, but Riverkit was, and by that Sunpaw was really impressed that Riverkit had beaten the warrior.
(Did i mention Sunpaw's impressed? lol...Firecloud! you fat kitty, lay off the voles!)

Firecloud laughed and hauled herself up, "You fought like you'd be a warrior as long as I have." She purred and batted Riverkit playfully.

((*sings* don't give me no pop, no pop. don't give no juice no juice. just give that pointless, ya ya ya ya, and here it is, ya ya ya ya!))
