The Musical goes live tonight at 19.00 GMT
On behalf of the entire case, well wishing would be appreciated.
No magic though, we have a couple of magiphobes.

You have my well wishes. I hope everything goes well.

On a completely unrelated note....I believe I have become allergic to adhesive bandages, which is most likely a latex allergy. Which is fantastic. Because another medical issue is just what we need in this household.

Ouch, tham means those cotton ones which just suck and do not stay on that long. Here is hoping for better things to come.

We were made of awesome.
We broke legs, brought the house down.
And now it's over.
And I don't get to see those people every week.

What musical was it?

Shoggoth on the Roof.
The first time it was ever put on in English.

Really? I thought there were copyright issues or some such with it, preventing it from actually being performed.

But that's awesome. 3nodding

That's because they didn't have rights to the music from Fiddler on the Roof. I heard Wing did a very good production (and was also the best singer in the cast!) but didn't get to go myself.

I've been off in college-land with frequent excursions into happy-land. I'm not around much otherwise

Happy note that didn't really fit elsewhere:

My son was evaluated, and found not to be needing physical therapy. Turns out his muscle tone problems and whatnot are just caused by the fact the he grew so much, so quickly (he's huge). They're going to keep an eye on it, but he just needs some extra stuff with his Occupational therapist.

Plus, he'll be starting preschool soon, so he'll be able to get occupational and speech therapy five days a week.

God, that's good.

It's good that he's going into pre-school, too. Those of us who went to pre-school in my current class had a great head start as far as learning to read.

Gideon - Oi, you're a Promethea fan too, eh? My brother just bought be the first two volumes. *swoon*

I should totally get past the musical in-jokes.

"Parallel octaves!" whee

Anyway, may I recommend that nobody ever read Pamela by Samuel Richardson. It is an absolutely horrible, tedious piece of tripe. It'd be better off if she lost her Virtue at the start and didn't spend the next five hundred pages moaning about it. Gah!

PAMELA IS SERIOUSLY ONE OF THE WORST NOVELS EVER HOLY CRRRRRRAP.

Its only saving grace is that no one actually knew what the ******** a novel actually WAS at the time, so in terms of 18th century literature it was par for the course.

THANK YOU!!!!! SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS MY PAIN!

Gaah! I have to do a presentation on it tomorrow, and I've only just gotten to her wedding night. I actually cannot read any more. Especially since they robbed me of the only bit I was really waiting for - her reactions to finally losing her virginity! They left out the only juicy bit of the novel! Argh!

I am so glad you understand. Were you also subjected to such torture through an English course? I know I wouldn't have read past the third page of my own free will...

Quite so. Freshman year, "The Study of the Novel."

You poor thing, you've read more than I have. We read a new book every week or so with that class, and once I realized how much of that tripe I'd have to read a night to keep up, I just gave up. But I didn't have to present anything on it, though--I got to do Virginia Wolff and Mrs. Dalloway, which I actually liked.

Irony of ironies: Pamela was supposed to be, among other things, an instruction manual on how to write proper letters. WTF??!!
