Mel, I'm sorry, but I really don't have anything to add the the "relevant" threads that I've seen being posted in.
I just wanted to stop by and let everyone know that I'm doing okay. I had my 6 week post-partum check last week and the doctor said that I've healed up from everything. The baby's growing so fast! And the toddler's adjusting to the changes.

I aint got much to say really, just that I think my computer is on it's last legs, either that or I am too fast for it to respond to me *giggles* Job hunting aint going very well, umm...someone broke into my house two days ago, and that has left me feeling really out of it.

Umm...nothing else to say really. I just aint got time for anything anymore.

I had a job interview last week. I hope I get this new job because it would be during the day and hopefully be more money.

I've no problem with you Jen. You've got your life to lead and two kids to look after now. Out of 30+ members on this guild, I am pretty sure that 90% of them do very little else but sit on their arses all day playing videogames and browsing Gaia at present. It's those people who joined and should never have bothered.

It's like joining a martial art class or some kind of club. You don't join and then don't bother with it at all. I don't have much time for Gaia myself these days because I am working and am otherwise too tired to care. But for those who are still in their teens, who have nothing better to do because they don't have jobs, and who claim that they're interested in the subject, join, and then don't bother....there's not really much of an excuse that they could conjure.

Jen, all I have desired for this place is for it to be filled with people who are interested in the same kind of things that I am, and for it to be active. I must have had over a hundred members join and then not bother. The number of members has never reached a hundred because I have banned others and some newcomers have joined - of which 70% of them never bothered and were thus banned as well.

The majority have drawn them in. Always entering avatar contests or vying for gold in order to get the next fashionable outfit. How I hate the world these days! cool

Alright, rant over. I'm not having a go at anyone but those who say they're interested and then don't ever bother. Nothing more. I'd probably still come on Gaia more often if I could guarantee that there'd be several new posts all over the guild every week.

Well I'm just glad that there's still some folks here I can always discuss certain things with. Even if the guild isn't as active anymore, at least it's more active than my old Konami fan club. So far, I've been fine and I doubt today I will be able to continue my fic. However, I think I will have some extra time tomorrow. If I do, I'll come to let you know about it on thursday. I miss Jen & Mandy... cry

Mel: Having a guild myself I know what it is to want active members, but really, the best that you can do is create a place for people to hang out and enjoy themselves. Each member is responsible for his or her own activity level-you can't make anyone do anything. Just create the best place that you can.

I agree with Jen on that one. I've found out that complaining about it won't make some members come back.

Anywho, I am almost finished with part 12. *sighs* This is gonna be an ok part cuz we get to know a bit more of Vishno's past. Well, aside from that I've been fine. See ya next week everyone. Take care of those girls Jen!

I guess I have my reasons for thinking this way. Everything I've tried to do for others has fallen apart in one way or another. I guess that's why I've felt like this.

Anyhow, I'm still looking for a new job and I am trying to write as much as I can. There's so much I want to be able to do and don't have the time for.
If I became a popular author, I'd have money to send my parents away on holiday, go abroad myself, I'd have the time for more hobbies, I could give so much more to my church, and I could help charities aswell.

Right now, I feel that I'm in a good job, but one that restricts my freedom of movement so much that I'm cramped and hardly have time for myself let alone my friends and family. I'm only bothered about the guild to a point where I've desired nothing but a fun place for people who share the same interests as me.

But alas! It's not to be.

Hmm...I'm going away on holiday again on the 24th of this month, so you won't see me for a week heh. Miss me while I am gone! I am going to do open uni when I get back so I can sort that all out when I get home. I plan to do a degree in english..heh. Don't ask why, it just seems like something that will help me heh.

Anyway gotta go it's like...half eleven at night here.

Best of luck getting a job you like Mel! Not to mention getting to become a popular author like J.K. Rowling. I'd like to think I would be able to do lots of cool stuff for others if I could as well. Too bad I can't even do much for myself as it is.

Anyways, the only thing I have to report as of now is that I almost finished part 12 of my fanfic last friday. I hope I can finish today...

As for me, I just finished part 12 of my fic. It was almost done but I still had to add a few things. Now I only have to edit but I don't have time now since I came here to tell about me finishing that part, he-he. I gues I will have to edit tomorrow so if I do I won't be coming here to the guild. I will come to Gaia for a while to check my PMs but that's it. Later everyone!
