Well my aunt never cooks for some reason so we've been eating takeout every night. I'm starting to yearn for vegetables and home cooked potatoes. This just isn't right! How can people live like this? People in my friend's frat in Berkeley were astonished when he fried an egg!

I've climbed too many hills today. I'm going to go play some Bach.

Oh, and my aunt's computer has a privacy service blocker thing so her son doesn't look up naked people which is also for some reason blocking my email and certain gaia pages. Sporadically. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It might have something to do with swearwords... But it's damned annoying anyway!

Music calls. I must away.

So if I were cool and could figure out how to upload pictures onto a computer you guys could all see my awesome photos of San Francisco. But I can't, so you'll just all have to wait til I get home. And even then you might never see them. Bwaaaahahahah!

I spent 8 hours today in the Asian Art Museum here. It was awesome. I even got my journal/sketchpad out and spent ages sketching designs of a certain mythical creature that appears frequently in Chinese art and history... ninja It was fun. And I bet you didn't know this, but apparently the motif of tigers and magpies are very important in Korean art and folklore. Hooray! So I drew them too.

Note 1: Drawing while standing is hard.
Note 2: Knees hurt after kneeling on hard marble to draw.
Note 3: People look at you strange when you sit on the floor of a museum.

Pretty pictures. 3nodding

I went to a frat party Friday night. There are a lot of real dickheads out there with only one thing on their minds... It was an interesting experience. Parties are generally fun though so I had a good time nonetheless. And I cooked! I cooked dinner in a frat boy kitchen because I hadn't eaten anything homemade since Ireland. Of course I first had to clean much of the cutlery and delph but it turned out great in the end. Delicious!

Something amusing to start this dreary first week back to work.

I woke up to the usual screeching of my alarm, it stole me from a most pleasant dream with a rather intriguing person, dressed and went to work.

I clambered my way through a strangely deserted dublin city.

Got to sandyford, where I work, to find that it was five to eight, not five to nine. I had forgotten to re-set my phone to GMT instead of GMT +1.

Get to go home an hour early, though.

Oh I knew that already. Just most men have some sort of tact or skill about it. Or at least something that makes it worthwhile. This was just so blatantly obvious. Twas pathetic. They all needed to drink less and masturbate more.

Yeah. Well, it was a frat party. I really shouldn't have expected much in the first place. wink

There were some somewhat sinister undertones to some of it though. The frat that my friend's staying in is alright but I was warned that the men in one of the frats we visited sometimes... don't let women leave. Which was somewhat disturbing. In the end the guys there kicked us out (quite rudely, I might add) because I had an escort. They expelled us because they couldn't get in my pants. Good riddance.

I had whiskey and good friends for company though so all worked out grand in the end! blaugh

Oh I always have fun. Just sometimes I have more fun than others. Hell I've been on this earth long enough to know that while we're here we might as well enjoy ourselves. There's no point in making yourself miserable by harping on all the crap stuff. Sure, s**t happens. But s**t makes the flowers grow. 3nodding And everything generally works out grand in the end. So I generally have a good time at most things I do because it's more fun than having a bad time.

And now you can all pounce on me for being a naive optimist.

Ooooh! The San Fran Gay pride parade is on this weekend! It's the biggest event of the year and I'm going to be here for it! *dances* It's apparently utterly outrageous... oh, I mean fabulous! xp
