xp Oh, thou fowl image of MissMagpie towering over some guys holding a bunch of roses screaming haglike:"Bend over and receive your rose!" and then forcefully ...umm... putting the rose in their bum, please go away...

Away I say... gonk

Sometimes I hate my imagination. crying

I understand Maggie, however, keep in mind, when responding to someone who is of a group you are actively and blanketly disparaging, there may be some friction.
It's actually one of my pet peeves, which is why I am harping on about it.

Someone hurt you, that is bad, if you want to, take vengeance on them, but please to not be blaming me... unless I am the malifactor here... and if I am, please explain how (I accidentally step on toes all the time, I rarely realize it. sweatdrop )

In short, apology accepted. heart

On an aside, Casualty of Love is a good song every heart-broken sot out there can appreciate. wink

Dear NVHS English Department;
Do I blame you, or the book for the utter strangeness of the background info for Beowulf? The hooray Christians! aspect is horrific, but at least this teacher put nordic "mythology" as "it used to be religion!".

Also, those snakes in the St Patrick myth. Totally not symbols. Totally.

Miss Eickhoff,
whom nearly banged her head in frustration today.

I'm leaning towards the book being stupid. Since this teacher made the funny, "And since women had the hearth and home, the men built public houses so they could drink mead in peace. And thus, the pub was born!"

No s**t, I nearly txt'ed wing right there, just to rant. In class.

Nope, not symbology at all. Not representative of anything. He tried to banish the lizard type snakes from Ireland, he just failed.
Contrary to popular belief, Ireland has snakes. I've seen one or two in my entire life, outside of the zoo of course.

I've seen literally one or two (can't remember if the second one really happened I was that young) in my life.

One of my old house-mates, she had snakes, after the Dork Lord left, she kept them for awhile... none of them were anymore Irish than the "celtic" (left lowercase because it is so very far from authentic) throw shawl/blanket/sari/thingy she had. xd

*hides from world* I want a pocket dimension full of happy fluffy things and comfort food. Nobody happens to have one of those, do they?

I've got a warm room, close to the ocean and some woods, there are lots of flannel blankets, electricity and running water.
We have books and some movies and video games...
We don't have the best food, but we don't go hungry.
tis not much, but tis safe and comfortable. heart

What's the matter? sweatdrop

Edit: Oh, I just read your LJ... ouch, that's entirely not fun.

Give the let down time to pass thru, but don't let it bother you overly much, you can succeed, you need faith in yourself, and those who won't tell you why they choose not to help you, then they are not worth your time...
