That's a lot of stuff that's happened recently. eek I'm glad you made it through ok, even if you had to leave us for a while. Hopefully things will improve. With that many good omens it looks like the worst is passed. So congratulations on getting through it all and we'll be here if you ever need someone to lean on.

That tea place sounded awesome. I'll have to see if I can make it up to Seattle sometime on another visit to the states. Not this time, but hopefully in the future.

As for my news: I have a very bad sunburn. This is my own stupid fault for not wearing sunscreen. I also had a bad bout of homesickness yesterday and discovered the best cure for homesickness: Distraction. If I keep myself super busy I won't have time to feel miserable. It works.
That and chocolate. Lots of chocolate. ninja

Have you had a chance to meet up with Fiddler yet?

What my Asatru Friends sung for me as I blew out my candles:

Happy Birthday (thud) Happy Birthday (thud)
May the candles on your cake
Burn like villages in you wake

Happy Birthday (thud) Happy Birthday (thud)
May your deeds with sword and axe
Equal those with sheep and yaks

Happy Birthday (thud) Happy Birthday (thud)
At your age you ought to learn
First you pillage, then you burn

That is the best birthday song I've ever seen.

You've had an awfully rough month, to say the least. sad I hope you're pulling through all right.

Congrats about the new car and job, though, and happy birthday! That's a cute song--does it go with a familiar tune, or an original one?

Where that I could say. My understanding of music is... limited.

I'm thankful that Maggie has been working on that thread. It's helped me a lot.

The tune sounds like your average Viking Raid music. The kind they usually show as people row to a drum beat before they pillage some unsuspecting monistary.

Happy belated birthday Tea!

Haven't met up with Fiddler yet but I believe we're arranging something for either Sunday or Monday. That is, as soon as I figure out what my phone number is so I can give it to him.

And is it normal that people don't cook here? I've eaten takeout for every meal since I got here. My aunt just doesn't cook. Ever. All those burritos would kill me if I wasn't walking like ten miles a day.

Yay reagun has internet access! *Does happy dance of reagun's back*

I can't speak for your aunt, but I for one cook a great deal.

I always cook at least one fine meal for friends upon their visits
