[Kitsune Thistletree]

Dawnkit shuffled out of the nursery and crawled carefully towards the leader's den. He stood just outside behind a rock, keeping his ears perked to hear what was happening inside. His craned his neck, trying to peer inside, curious as to why Kindlestar didn't want any other cat to hear what this meeting was going to be about.

Blazewhisper flhiched at kindlestar's frim tone. she never doughted her den mate but never really expected to see this side of her. she layed back and waited for them to coutnie.

water kit purred at dawnkit and and mewd. "YEA IT WAS HUGE!" but soon she followed him up to the leader's den to see what was going on

Dawnkit looked at Waterkit and flicked his tail, signaling for her to keep a watch while he attempted to get closer. He had heard something of Dewpool no longer being deputy, and Kindlestar looked fierce. Her yellow eyes were glowing coolly in the den and her ears were flattened in the usual fashion that Dawnkit carried them in. He was desperate to know more, and to understand why Kindlestar was so angry. However, he had not been able to hear most of the conversation, and his frustration made him almost yowl in anger.

Firesong frowned. No response. Kindlestar must be really busy. She had weanted to ask about getting Thornkit to help her with gathering herbs, and definitely didn't want to get the kit in more trouble by simply assuming it was okay. She would try once more before heading out by herself. "Kindlestar, can you spare a quick moment?"

Kindlestar's ears perked as she looked up. Firesong was calling her from outside. She bowed her head at Cursedstar in apology. "I will be right back," she mewed as she got up. Her white paws took her to her den's entrance and she saw Firesong sitting down right at the side of it. "What happened?" she asked the medicine cat, her ears perked as she wondered what the medicine cat could want so suddenly. It wasn't like Firesong to interrupt meetings, so she couldn't help thinking this must be important.

Dawnkit flinched and headed back to behind the rock as soon as he saw the leader emerging from the den and Firesong waiting outside. He swiveled his ears to were they were, trying to catch every word.

"I'm dangerously low on herbs and need to restock. I can't possibly carry back enough by myself, even if i made several trips. Dawnkit says he's done hunting and is going to nap, but i can't help but worry about what trouble he's actually planning instead. I was wondering; since Thornkit shouldn't be out alone, and doesn't really have much to do, could i take him with me to do some gathering? I could really use the help, and everyone else seems to be busy...."

Thornkit set his head on his paws, Bored. "What should I do?" thought Thornkit. "And where are Dawnkit and Waterkit?"

Kindlestar sighed. "StarClan knows what that kit is up to indeed... However, you may take Thornkit with you if you please. You are right, we shouldn't keep Thornkit alone... I can't help but think that it is Dawnkit who keeps making Thornkit act out the way he does. He seems like a very sweet and caring tom, Dawnkit on the other hand..." she muttered, trailing off as she fell deep in thought.

Dawnkit gasped as he heard Kindlestar. So she thought him as nothing more than a nuisance then. He spat a bit at this, and his ears flattened. 'How dare she?' he thought, his teeth bared.

Firesong nodded. "Thank you Kindlestar. Sorry to interrupt." She walked over to find Thornkit sitting with his head on his paws. "looking for something to do? because i could really use some help gathering herbs. Kindlestar said it's okay. You up for it?" She purred encouragingly.

Kindlestar nodded and watched Firesong head out. She turned and entered the den again, nodding at Cursedstar as she entered. She retook her position and glanced at the leader in front of her. "I am glad you have finally come... there are some things I must discuss with you besides the land you asked for," she meowed, her voice calm.

Dawnkit sat down in shock. He could not believe what he had just heard. Not only that, but Firesong had not denied what the leader had said. Was he really nothing more than a nuisance. He padded away from the leader's den, heading towards the camp entrance.

"I said i wanted to suggest someone, that's all." Dewpool defended herself.

((that is true....i didn't want to choose i just had a perfect idea for someone as leader.))

"YES!" mewed Thornkit, Jumping up to his paws.

((We need a plan on how Thornkit is going to fall in love with Lovekit...))

Firesong purred happily at Thornkit's enthusiasm. She walked toward the camp entrance, motioning for Thornkit to follow, when she noticed Dawnkit. He looked upset. "Dawnkit, where are you headed?" She had a freindly smile on her face. she couldn't help but like Dawnkit's spunkiness, despite the trouble he got into.

((They are only kits right now Dewpool. It will take some time. Besides, once they can both fully participate[gatherings, hunting, meetings and whatnot]; things could happen. But if Thornkit is going to try to be a medicine cat, how is that going to work?)

Kindlestar's gaze flickered over Dewpool. She nodded at the she-cat and flicked her tail again. "Dewpool, you should head over to the nursery now. If you wish, I will talk to you as soon as I am done here. However, I do have important things to discuss with Cursedstar," she mewed, her voice somewhat calmer but her ears still flattened. More than anything, she wished for this meeting to be over so she could have a talk with Firesong. She had been in such a rush to supervise the camp after the twolegs had left that she hadn't been able to have the conversation she had wanted earlier. The arrival of Cursedstar had not helped either.
