Blazewhisper nodded and bowed. "thank you kindlestar. but the kits have come back into camp now." she said and pointed to the kits.

Dawnkit spat a bit but remained quiet. "I know! Let's go show mom what we caught!" he said, flicking his tail proudly as he got his rabbit and headed towards the nursery, his head held high.

Kindlestar glanced over to were the kits were, and noticed that Dawnkit had a rabbit in his mouth, while Thornkit had quite a number of prey for a kit his age near his paws. Her tail flicked a little as she remembered what Blazewhisper had said of Dawnkit calling her names, but she remained quiet, figuring she could always wait and see if the youngster learned by himself a lesson. She nodded at Blazewhiper and signaled for her to come along as she entered her den and sat down, waiting for Cursedstar and the others to do the same.

Flakekit was listening to the meeting from the nursery and sighed. He wanted to be an apprentice so bad but he was still to young.

"You can show her. I'm going to set my prey on the Fresh-kill Pile." mewed Thornkit.

Firesong gratefully ate the food brought to her and curled up for a nap. She was on the edge of sleep when she caught the scent of Pebbleclan. Her ears perked up, and she padded from her den. There was no fighting, so she wasn't tense. She spotted Cursedstar with Kindlestar, and then saw the kits. Dawnkit was proudly parading a rabbit in his jaws. Firesong shook her head. Again, the fear that something tragic was soon to happen overtook her.

Dawnkit nodded at his sister and headed towards the nursery. "Momma, look what I caught," he sneered as he placed his rabbit at the foot of his nest.

((Well, Cursedstar came along for a meeting that we have been planning for the last... erm.... month and a half I think? xd ))

Flakekit looked around the nursery. He was so board there was nothing to do and he couln't go out of he will be in trouble.

There he was. parading his punishment around proudly. The rabbit's foot didn't look quite right, and Firesong suspected that it was injured before Dawnkit caught it. He'd definitely learn soon that it wasn't easy. he wouldn't get so lucky tomorrow.

Firesong saw Thornkit dutifully place his catch(es!) in the Fresh-kill pile. If Dawnkit would quit getting him into trouble, Thornkit would make a great warrior some day....

Dawnkit too, come to think of it. but he had a long way to go.

((Dawnkit and Thornkit are having to hunt as punishment for leaving camp. Cursedstar is here to talk to Kindlestar, and Firesong(me) is afraid that starclan won't talk to her.
