Firesong looked at the young leader with helplessness in her eyes. "Kindlestar, they won't talk to me....Starclan has been silent for so long..." Are they ignoring us? Or am i the only one that can't hear them any more....?

Kindlestar looked up at the sky as Silverpelt started to slowly appear. She couldn't help but worry. She had broken all of the warrior traditions when she became leader, and now, with Firesong's own preoccupation, she couldn't help but wonder if StarClan had abandoned them. She shook her head quickly to remove the thought from her mind.

"Maybe it's a good thing... Maybe StarClan just doesn't think we need the help just now..." she mewed, blinking warmly at Firesong as she kept to herself what she was really thinking. What if StarClan had become enraged due to the broken ritual. "When was the last time StarClan was silent for so long?" she asked the medicine cat, her ear flicking slightly.

Firesong looked thoughtful. "They've never been so silent for so long to me...but when i was a kit, just before the fire, i heard Swiftsoul say that she couldn't hear Starclan..." That fire nearly destroyed us, too

"Kindlestar, this is the first time i can remember Twolegs coming near camp, let alone in it. If they're moving closer, we could have problems...have the border patrols complained of more twoleg encounters?" She was still distracted, but was hoping that she could still help, despite starclans silence.

"Thankfully no. From what I have heard in Gatherings and in Clan chatter, I have it understood that SnowClan has had some problems with Twolegs recently. Do you think it could be the same Twolegs?" she asked, her tail flicking in exasperation.

((Actually, FireClan has no deputy at the moment I believe. I believe it was due to something that Dewpool said in the last Gathering. She's been doing nothing but having kits and Patchstar said that a deputy is not allowed to have kits, or not many anyways, cause otherwise she won't be able to fulfill her deputy responsabilities. She was going to kill off Dewpool after her fourth litter was born, so I guess she won't mind that much. However, she was planning on having one of her other cats take over... which I believe she isn't allowed to do either. I dunno there though. sweatdrop The conversation is over at the Gathering are. At last month's one.))

Firesong nodded. "it's possible. I'd say the only way to know for sure though is to ask Snowclan....of course, the twolegs in here were just kits. they may have simply snuck away from their mother. Maybe we should move the camp? Just in case they try to come back?" Firesong shrugged. She wasn't sure what Kindlestar wanted to do.

Kindlestar flicked her ear uneasily. "Move the Clan huh? The only place I can think of that would be safe would be to move it further up northwest... closer to WoodClan territory..." she muttered. "That's not going to be easy... what with the nursing queens to consider," she mewed, thinking of Jayflight and Dewpool. "All I can think about is waiting to see what the patrols tell us, then depending on their reports, we make our move," she finished, her muscles tensed. "This is ridiculous... Shadowstar would have known what to do...." she growled in frustration as she got up and started pacing around, her eyes tired as she tried to make decisions out of her range of wisdom.

Firesong shook her head. "Kindlestar, Shadowstar would have rushed into a decision without thinking of the consequences. You've got to stop comparing yourself to her. You are our leader, but you still hesitate. you still worry. you still make mistakes. Some of us understand that. Just do your best. no one could ask for any more than that."

Kindlestar was righ about moving the clan being problematic. it may also be unnecessary. She was right to wait and see. The Twolegs wouldn't come straight back. Firesong sighed. she felt tired, and drained.

Kindlestar stopped pacing and glanced over at Firesong. She noticed the strain in her eyes and sighed. "I'll order for some freshkill to be brought to you. After that, make sure to get some rest. No cat could have done more than you have today, and having an ill medicine cat would simply not do," she purred good humoredly, trying to bring a spring back to Firesong's step as she turned around to see that the freshkill pile was full enough for the day.

Firesong smiled. Kindlestar was right. again. getting sick would not help the clan at all. "Alright, thanks. but if you need anything, just come let me know."

Kindlestar nodded as she headed out. She noticed that Rabbitpaw was just at the Clan entrance and flicked her tail at the apprentice. "I want you to take some freshkill to Firesong. After that, take some freshkill for yourself and I want you to take a rest," she told her apprentice, flicking her tail at the medicine cat den, letting her know that Firesong was in her den.

Blazewhisper threw a rock at dawnkit head 2 knock him out. he couldnt get 2 far when she came back. getting a mouse for kindlestar she made it back 4 the meeting. she walked over 2 her leader and gave her a mouse and lick her ear. "u do fine short stuff" then she went 2 get opalshadow 4 help

Dawnkit stalked the rabbit until a rock fell close to him. He saw the rabbit's ears perk up and start to run. In desperation he attempted to follow it, running as fast as he could. The rabbit had a strange gait in him that made him slower, giving Dawnkit the advantage. He sprang on it and bit it hard on the neck. The rabbit squealed and fought for a while before it finally became silent with death.

He got up and picked it in his mouth, his tail held high as he carried it back to camp, his eyes shining with victory. Then, remembering his brother he walked in the direction he had seen him go, following his smell.

Kindlestar licked her ear and purred as she heard Blazewhisper, but feeling confused over seeing her in camp she padded over to her. "What are you doing back so soon? Where are the kits?" she asked her, leaving the mouse behind to eat as soon as she got her report.

Blazewhisper looked back at her leader. "the stuipd kits slipt up just incase you sent them to follow them. eat the mopse will yea shortstar? you need you need to relax" she sinckerd..
