Yay! The rest of that chapter went really quickly. I'm generally a very slow writer, but I think I'm going to push myself with this new goal, and hopefully get rewritten a lot of what I lost in the next month.

I don't have a word count update this time, but when my co-writer and I hung out today, we came up with a bunch of things that are very important, but not necessarily to the reader.

We have one minor character who, up until today, has been there, and we knew why he was there, but we never knew why he was there. He was important, but we couldn't really explain his purpose. Today, we not only came up with who he actually is, we came up with his entire backstory. What he does, what he did, why he does it, who his family is, why they're there. It all just clicked today, in a way that it never has before.

It was "right" enough that it even explained a bunch of smaller things that I didn't realize were unexplained until we solved them. It's fantastic.

We also worked out more of how the two books that come before the main one I'm working on are going to happen. We knew they needed to exist in order to explain things, and we had dabbled in the idea of making them into one book instead of two, but now we kind of know how to make that work, as well as explain a couple of other interesting things that had, until now, been unexplainable.

Also, I don't know if I learned of it from here or from elsewhere, but yWriter5 is awesome. Without a doubt, fantastic. =)
