I know this isn't really an update, but I had to delete a chapter! Which brought my word count down to 24,000! crying I need a pity party. I'm going to bring the word count back up tonight, but I don't think I'll get much farther than that.

Wow, do I feel bad. eek About two months ago I said I'd finish my story before August 31st, but I never got much farther than a thousand words.. My (lame) excuse is that I've been busy with rebuilding my room and college (which didn't actually start until September 1st.. did I mention my excuse is a rather lame one?).

The good thing is, that I've been bitten by the writing bug again, but this time I won't be giving myself a deadline, because it won't work anyway..

So, my new goal is: to finish my story. Sometime. mrgreen
Current word count: Zero, since I'll be starting over.
Current page count: Zero.

I'll update your goal, Poem, and remember that smaller goals work as well, things like '1,000 words in a week' are small and easily accomplishable in a busy life, and they make you feel good because you're continuously achieving your goals. I had to do that when I was struggling to write every day.

Thank you! A small amount of words a week sounds like a good idea, but right now I'm really unsure of the time I'll be able to spend writing, so for the moment I'll stick with a relatively open goal.. sweatdrop
