Time for another change of subject. blaugh Any guesses as to what I found while cleaning my bedroom today? (and I'm being very serious about this so no jokes about "nessie" or "bigfoot" etc.)

The floor?
Well, besides the floor. 3nodding I guess I'll just tell you all. I found my camcorder with my last Christmas I spent with the four of us in my family (the very last Christmas I spent with my daddy -- 2006). Very bittersweet find. 3nodding
Always try to keep family memories. More important the most anything. biggrin

Thanks guys! blaugh I did think it was a wonderful treasure myself! And almost as if he's telling me he's still here even if I can't physically touch him any more. 3nodding I do miss him a lot...especially since Father's Day is just around the corner. sweatdrop

I feel your pain I'm on a weird schedule right now- I'm going in to work at 2am, the company van is driving 277 miles out, doing inventory, then driving back the 277 miles- I expect it to be a 15 hour day. Unfortunately class ended at 8:45pm last night so I didn't have time to really rest up as I need (and still get dressed for work, eat something, etc).

I only got 2.75 hours yesterday- I spent all night helping my boyfriend pack and get ready to move, then I picked up a text book from a classmate nice enough to loan it to me (approx. 7:45 am)- took about four hours to do my homework and added an hour for showering, breakfast, and other errands getting me to bed at circa 1 pm- which I had to wake up mid sleep to contact a manager about a possible job, then back to sleep, then up at 4pmish to get ready for class.

My body feels like pain and its only just beginning.

My brother is getting married.

I love that he is so excited. I love the girl he's chosen. I love the fact that they are so in love.

But anyone else who's single have to deal with a younger sibling getting married? I'm so .... jealous. And suddenly the world revolves around him. Like it did for my sister when she got married. I feel skipped. Left out.

I'm really trying not to be selfish in front of them though. Just deal with this on my own time and pretend to be all thrilled for them on theirs.

Congrats to your brother, Harmony!

However, I know how you feel. Although neither of my younger siblings are married or getting married (they just graduated from high school!) I can imagine what it feels like.

Not only is the younger sibling getting all the attention (which, let's face it, is justified. We are going to want the world to revolve around us if we ever get married, too) but also there is a sense of judgment from our families, especially the extended families. A feeling of "what's wrong with her/him so she/he can't get a date?" Having this focused on you for an extended period is less than fun. Unfortunately, it is worse for women than for men.

And you have to go through and take this abuse without complaint because if you say anything it will ruin your brother's (/sister's/friend's/cousin's) happy day.

That part sucks, and I'm sorry. If you need to vent on that subject, I can be a sympathetic non-participating ear.

I sort of know how you feel, Harmony; my (younger) cousins (two of them) have already gotten married. For future reference, all of my cousins (at least the ones I usually talk about) are younger because I am the OLDEST cousin of 7 (including my brother). I felt left out at the reception and the ceremony itself. I didn't get a role in the wedding at all for my first cousin's wedding and the second one I couldn't attend because I was in school at the time. sweatdrop The only positive was I caught the bouquette (spelling?) at the first wedding. blaugh

I know how you feel crying It's been a while, but open to close shifts, or double shifts within about 6 hours of each other multipule times a week tend take their toll. Bad enough when your biological alarm is almost as sharp as an atomic clock. >.< Always keep waking up every hour to check the time to make sure you don't oversleep and end up being late.

Thanks for the support guys.

It is that bad. It's really horrible because I haven't even ever had a boyfriend. What's wrong with me? Well... nothing that I can see.

Unless people hate chubby girls.

Oh well.

So, my 17 year old cousin had what my grandma refers to as a "Holy Stroke" because my other cousin, whose 16, got her learner's permit today and the 17 year old cousin has nothing yet but is so eager to drive. My aunt tries to tell her that she should make herself more available to do driver's ed and go down to the DMV or whatever, but it seems all my cousin is capable of is that "it's not fair" song and dance.

Yup.

Headhunter's never having kids.

Never.

Also, I may have to burn down my nearby shopping mall. The place that made these AWESOME soft pretzels closed down sometime between now and when I was last there about 3 months ago. The only other place I know of that has them makes pathetic parodies of soft pretzels. I can't go back to that. I won't go back to that!!

Eh, Pretzel Time isn't bad. My favorite is Pretzelmaker, with Auntie Annes being my cursed bread.
