Role Playing the Past

Hien 'eeped' and thrust his hands out. there was a burst of white light and Shadow was sent flying backwards, slamming into the wall. He wrapped his arms around himself looking scared at Shadow. "Y-you're that demon I ran into earlier! The really high strung one! What do you want with me?! I did nothing wrong!" He looked over at Zero. "He had dormant angel blood in him. I merely purified the demon blood and made the angel blood dominant." He moved over next to Zero and Ethiriel, running his hand over Zero's new wings. "He makes a beautiful angel, doesn't he?"

Shadow stood there, a little out of it and shook ihs head. " Great... you're adding more and more stuff I have to tell The Council. " he growled at Hein, and then looked at Etheriel. "Why are you letting him do this?" he asked Eitheriel, his voice seemed different and a bit nicer.

*Ethiriel narrowed her eyes at Shadow.* Aren't you the one who wanted him not to be demon? You should be thankful. I'd rather have an angel brother than a demon. Speak of which... *she turned to Hien.* I never got your name.

*Feredir nodded in agreement.* >Didn't you want Ethiriel to find a cure for Zero? Well, this angel has done that for us.<

Hien pulled his attention away from Zero and turned to Ethiriel. "Oh! Pardon my lack of manners. I am Hien." He turned to Shadow. "Are you a friend of Zero's? Is that the reason you responded so... violently?"

Shadow scoffed and narrowed his eyes in return to Ethiriel's look,
" Really... now Ethiriel? He should be human, not demon nor angel. THat's why I wanted the cure. The council would've tortured him if they found out... and broke him, making sure he knows his place. Now what should I say...?" he said, almost ignoring Hein. He then looked down at Feredir and let out a warning growl towards him. ~ You have no place here in this... you may be a friend to Zero. But this isn't your quarell... ou know what they do to the new born demons.~ he said his eyes ice cold as they narrowed at Feredir. He let the silence come over them before he turned his attention to Hein, " I'm more of a protector of the two." he said to him, his voice still sharp.

Hien watched Shadow with interest as he spoke to the other two and straightened up when he turned to him. "I see..." He looked over at Zero again. "Tell them... tell them the demon has been taken care of and there is no reason to trouble themselves over him anymore. I will watch over him." He placed a hand over his heart. "You have Xeria's word and mine he will not be harmed."

*Ethiriel nodded towards Hien.* I would trust him, Shadow. Angels never go back on their word, and neither does Xeria. I know I trust him.

*Feredir backed off a little bit when Shadow snapped at him.* >I wasn't trying to quarrel with anyone. I was just stating a fact.< *he grumbled.*

Shadow looked at Hein and then at Ethirel, " I don't have anything against any God or prophet or anything... but I don't trust any of them....espcially one of their little deciples(sp)." he said narrowing his eyes again. His voice seemed strange and tensed again, he wasn't likeing the situation. He looked at Feredir ~Yes I knew you weren't quarelling with anyone... But you're getting out of place... it seems.~ he said to him, his voice different than what he had been using with him.

*Ethiriel threw her hands up in the air, exasperated.* HONESTLY, Shadow! For once! ONCE!! Could you TRY to be civil?! Hien has done nothing wrong, yet you distrust him immediately! Do you have a grudge against all living things or something?!

*Feredir leaned against Ethiriel's leg, whining quietly to comfort her. His sharp ears suddenly picked up movement from the bed. He turned just in time to see Zero's eyes slide open.* >Zero! You're awake!<

*Zero blinked the haze away from his eyes, vaguely hearing Feredir call out to him. As the fog lifted, Zero realized... something about him was... different. After a moment of thought, it occured to him-- His demon blood was gone! But... it had been replaced by something else. Something pure in nature. With a groan, he sat up.* Urg... I feel like I've been slammed against a brick wall...

Shadow looked at Ethiriel and sighed, " I can be civil when I wished to be... He just made my life harder, regaurdless of what he is. " he said and looked over at Zero as he saw his eyes open. He walked away, out the door, and into the hall, he puased in front of Ethiriel, "You'll soon come to understand how everything works in the world that I"m apart of. " he said, his voice deep and ice cold again. He wasn't going to stay in the room and listen to Zero's new amazement.

*Ethiriel watched Shadow walk away, then spent the next 30 seconds going through a long list of profanities under her breath.*

*Zero sighed and pushed himself off the pillows.* I'm missing something crucial here, aren't I? *he looked to one side, and he noticed his new wings out of the corner of his eye.* What in the name of--?? *he paused, then sighed quietly.* I should have know this would come back to haunt me...

*Feredir straightened, looking towards Zero.* >What do you mean, Zero?<

*Zero turned to Ethiriel, Hien, and Feredir, his eyes a little distant.* My mother was a mortal human. My father was an immortal angel. My father saved my mother from an attack on her town by a horde of demons. long story short... they fell in love, they got married, and I was born. I am the product of a mortal and immortal bond... but the immortal part was dormant... until now. That's the reason I was in so much pain the whole time I was demon. The demon venom and the angel blood in me were contradicting with each other, and basically battling for dominance.

*Ethiriel rubbed her temples, closing her eyes.* You knew you were half angel this whole time? And you never told me?

*Zero looked away, pain in his eyes.* I didn't think I'd ever have to worry about it. I thought the blood would remain dormant... *He looked back at his wings.* But... I don't mind. I'm actually kind of glad... It feels like this great burden has been lifted off my chest.

Shadow heard Ethiriel as he puased again outside the door. He smirked and looked out a window, " We can't win them all... I would've perfered this ddin't happen." he said alomst to himself, but loud enough for just Ethiriel to hear him. He closed his eyes and shifted quickly into his wolf form and jumped out of the building, landing on some part of the roof.

Hien watched and listened to the exchange with interest. As Zero finished his little speech, he began to speak. "I've heard of an angel who fell in love with a human... Asho was his name. You're his child? No wonder you're of the fighter ranks." He noticed Zero's confused looks, and he blushed and looked at his feet. "Oh, pardon me. My name is Hien. I'm a disciple of Xeria. I'm... I'm the one who brought out your angel blood."

Shadow hadn't heard anything else(bad grammar?) and continued deep into the woods. When he got far enough into the woods he sat down on his hind haunches and looked up to the sky. He let out a howl, as though to warn and summon some kind of being. His breath let out a smoke or fog around his mouth. The sky seem to darken and a few bits of ran began to drop, strange for such a nice day earlier. (( god I hope its' day time ))

*Zero looked over to Hien as he spoke. He couldn't help but think this young angel was rather... cute. He quickly put the thought out of his mind and spoke again.* Don't fret about it. I'm actually glad you did what you did. Let Shadow have his own thoughts. *He swung his legs out of bed, standing in front of Ethiriel, Hien, and Feredir and stretching.* Now, where did Shadow go?

*Ethiriel sniffed and put her nose in the air.* Who cares? He wants to run off, that's fine by me.

*Zero blinked in surprise.* Ethiriel! Listen to yourself! *He chided her.* You sound like some stuck-up rich girl!

*Ethiriel flinched and looked down at her feet in shame.*
