Role Playing the Past

Shadow walked forward, his eyes narrowed in a glare, his body stayed in its pure wolf form. " You must learn to not trust so quickly child... I am sarcrificing myself for you now.... Be greatful that I didn't just kill you when you were formed." he said and moved away and looked at Feredir. " Take the child to his room... along with his sister. Make sure neither of them leave thier rooms til I return...." he said looking at him with a sharp gaze. He quickly shifted into human form and looked out towards where the woods was. " My trip the the higher council may not turn out the way I wish it to go." he said simply and looked up towards the sky and frowned.

*Feredir nodded, bowing, before increasing slightly in size so he could carry both of them easily.* >Shadow-sama, must you be so harsh on Zero? He looks up to you as a teacher, yet you slam him into the ground and shove dirt in his face. It seems to really hurt him.< *He slung Zero onto his back.* >And what about Ethiriel? Wouldn't she be more comfortable in her lab?<

Shadow shrugged, " Yes she may be more comfortable there... maybe she can find a way to reverse what has been done to her brother." he said and looked once again at the woods. He frowned, ~ This is gonna be a long day...~ he thought to himself and looked at Feredir when he spoke about how harsh he was. " It could be worse... the council memebers could be chewing his a** out about this..." he said simply and began to walk off into the woods.

*Feredir nodded and bowed again, turning away from Shadow. He trotted up to the castle and to each room respectively. He placed Zero in his room and Ethiriel in her lab, then trotted back down to Zero's room, waiting for the younger to wake up.* >Please wake up soon...<

*Ethiriel slowly forced her eyes open, blinking away the spots. She slowly sat up, looking around.* Urg... I feel like I got hit with a mace in the back of the head. *She stood up, stumbling around her room mixing a potion to cure her headache. She swallowed the concoction, feeling the headache ebb away from her. She sighed in relief, turning to the window.* Well, damn. Zero and Shadow sure made a mess of that. How in Xeria's name am I going to fix that?!

*Zero tossed and turned in his sleep, dreams plaguing his mind. He cried out in his sleep, painful memories rising in his dreams.*

Shadow continued on into the woods, he tried to remember exactly where the council was, and hoped he would find it soon. The council did have a tendancy to be harsh on timing and thats one thing he disliked about it. He was constantly visiting them though, for one reason or another, even though he tried to avoid them.

Hien sighed quietly as he moved silently through the woods. He looked up through the treetops, his wings fluttering in anticipation. Something was here. A demon, maybe. He hoped to Xeria herself it would not come after him. He moved forward a little more and turned around a tree, bumping straight into Shadow. "Ow!" Hien cried, falling on his butt. He looked up into Shadow's eyes, nervously swallowing. "I-I'm sorry! Forgive me, sir! I didn't hear you coming from around that tree, please forgive me!" He scrambled to his feet, bowing low to him.

Shadow looked down at the person who had ran into him, his eyes a cold silver color. He didn't say anything until he was several feet away, " Don't follow me or you'll die." he said to the man, speaking in his wolf form was always fun for him. He always found it entertaining when one didn't know about demons and he began to talk to them in that for, their expressions priceless.

Hien gulped and nodded swiftly. "Y-yes sir!" He began to make his way swiftly in the opposite direction. After a long while, he found himself at the entrance of a castle. "huh. Wonder who lives here..." He nervously raised his hand and knocked on the large wooden door.

*Ethiriel was pulled out of her thoughts about the broken window by the sound of knocking on the front door.* Hm? Who could that be? *She quickly teleported to the front door and opened it to reveal Hien standing there.* Hello! What can I do for you? *she asked, smiling at the innocent looking young angel standing in front of her.*

*Feredir sat at the edge of Zero's bed, watching the younger wolf demon with worry.* >Something's not right...< *with an inward sigh, he put his paws up onto the bed, jumping up and curling up next to Zero.*

*Zero, even in the middle of his dreams, felt Feredir curl up against him, and relaxed visibly, his dreams fading to black and peaceful sleep.*

Hien nervously played with his hands, staring at the magician in front of him. "I-I was wondering if-- if-- Oh, bugger." He muttered, crossing his arms. "my train of thought just derailed." He took a deep breath to compose himself, then tried again. "I'm an angel sent to do Xeria's work in the world. I got a little lost, bumped into this wolf demon who was... how do i put it... creepy beyond all reason... then stumbled upon this castle. May I stay for a while so I can get my bearings?" He looked up hopefully at her.

*Ethiriel smiled and ushered the young angel in.* Of course you may stay! Any disciple of Xeria is a friend of mine. As for the wolf demon you ran into... I would have to guess that was Shadow. He can be a bit strange at times. But still. We love him anyway. *she started to lead Hien past Zero's door when she heard a loud cry from inside.* Xeria! Zero?! *She rushed inside with Hien on her heels.*

*Zero was tossing and turning in bed, his brow soaked in sweat. He cried out again, his back arching off the bed.*

*Feredir jumped off the bed, looking over at Ethiriel.* >I was just laying here and he started tossing and turning and crying out. I don't know what's wrong with him.<

*Ethiriel raced to Zero's side, grabbing his hand.* Zero, wake up! It's me, Ethiriel!

Hien took one look at Zero and understood. "I know what's wrong with him." He gently nudged Ethiriel out of the way and placed his hands on Zero's body. "Something that was recently placed in his body is reacting to something dormant in his blood. Like some hidden heritage. It appears that the two are conflicting though, like dormant angel blood and demon venom." He closed his eyes and began to murmur in a strange language. As he did, Zero's body began to glow, first black, then white. "Ah, I thought so." Hien said with a smile. "He's got angel blood in him. He's not pure angel, but it's there. It's almost like he's a half angel. No wonder being demon is putting such a strain on his body." He began to speak in a different language again, then pulled his hands away from Zero as he said, "Everto, absum."

*zero's body began to glow blinding white as Hien pulled his hands away. It shifted for a few seconds, then the glow faded. He had lost his wolf ears and tail, but had gained something else; midnight black angel wings.*

*Ethiriel took one look at Zero and jumped back a foot.* Xeria! He's an angel?! I never felt that in his aura!

*Feredir inwardly sighed, his head and ears drooping.* >Goodbye, brother...<

Hien nodded and removed his hands. "Of course not. The angel blood was dormant. I merely purified the demon venom in his body and made dominant the angel blood. It would appear from the size and color of his wings he is part proeliator. That means he's built to be a fighter." He looked at Zero again, a bit of a blush rising to his cheeks.

Shadow was barely a mile into the woods when he sensed Zero's aura change. He glared at the ground and ran towards the castle quickly. He got to the castle, in the matter of a minute or so. He quickly changed into his human form and jumped through the window where Etheriel's room was. He ran through the castle til he got to Zeros' and saw the wings. He glared down at the boy and then to Hein, " You damn b*****d what did you do?!" he said and ran towards Hein and pinned him to the wall. His teeth were pointed and his eyes were sharp and ice cold with bitterness.
