^ Despite numerous differences, the Surveyor does look incredibly like Ed Elric, right down to the habitual expression of troubled contemplation. (Oooh, artistic drama.)
I mean, he's cute and all, but if I'm going to go for troubled and young, I'll go for Mute.

Aside from that, YAY! A couple years ago, I found a copy of this one on a page of RP character pics. The pic isn't signed, so I never found out who the artist was, but I was dying to find out. Thank you for providing to serendipity, Fiddler.
Valkyrie what?

Indeed. Your feral side is quite an interesting thing to observe, even in writing.
You oughta see me eat a T-bone steak in private sometime. I am known for picking up the bone and literally gnawing the meat directly out of the bends of the bone.

That's an abuse of the word if I ever saw one.

Hey does anyone know of any good PC games or X-Box games that are kind of old (my pc sucks...well more accurately my video-card sucks) that are Adventure/RPG/Horror with a third person view (First person makes me sick, quite literally) that are really really fun?

I'm a KOTOR addict (Knights of the Old Republic). But I have played wayyy too much. Even with mods. It's not so fun any more.

I'm working on three games on my x-box, but I haven't been in the mood to play them...
arrrrgg. I need a new game.

Wow, this place sure got busy in the last week. ^^

Pirate vs Ninja

hmmm
hmmm

I think I have to go with Pirate, because they have a more creative wardrobe, they fight with swords and guns, and they sail on the ocean. Ninjas are cool and all, but they just aren't pirates.

Well, I'll say that my "say whatever comes to mind" mood is about the closest to my "beast" nature that I can display online. I get much worse and you can forget about me typing.

Visas - I recommend Jade Empire if you don't already have it. Also PSO Episodes I&II. Fable: The Lost Chapters is pretty good, too - I think you can get that for way cheap now. It was under $20 when it was brand new (I literally got it the day after release for $14.99).

Mute certainly appears to have seen her share of sorrows, but her expression is more dreamy than stoic. Ed and the Surveyor both have harder eyes (CLAMP's Syaoran is another one like this). Mute is more innocent than they are.

Agh, the linking restrictions of that site are a pain. Elisande, which I dug up on Elfwood, does have a similarity to Lenneth, with the feathered helmet and extended shape of its faceplate, as well as the prominence of blue hues. I get the feeling that the artist gets many ideas for design and mood from games and anime.

I'd guess that by "private", he meant having no other company than me. A private meal, as opposed to a solitary one.

I have often done the same thing with chicken and pork. I didn't think it was very unusual. It belittles the life of the animal if it's killed because we need its meat and then we leave that meat to rot uselessly in a landfill. So long as someone who is eating in my company doesn't exhibit truly filthy eating habits, I wouldn't care of they cracked the bones and sucked the marrow out.

Thanks, Jade Empire is awesome. I've played that one to death too. I have fable, but I'm kind of stuck at a part, and haven't had the will tackle it at the moment. Ah, but thanks smile

I find Diablo II to be a lot of fun, and I enjoy playing it with friends. It's addicting, actually. It's compatible with Windows '95, '98, and 2000.

I honestly forget whether or not this game is third person or first, but when I was a youngin', I enjoyed playing Zork Grand Inquisitor on Windows '95. I'm not sure how many copies of that game are still around, though. sweatdrop I wish we still had ours.

If I can think of anything else, I'll send a PM your way. That's the most I can come up with off of the top of my head, for the time being.

PSO?

PSO = Phantasy Star Online. Pretty good game, although there is next to nothing to do in it.

If you want a good PC game with a low requirement, check out EVE Online. I'll warn you, its DEFINATELY not for everyone.

Um... Ever played the Monkey Islands? Like THE BEST ADVENTURE GAMES EVER!! You're Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate!

In fact, the more you play the more you realise how much Pirates of the Carribbean stole from it... Y'know. Plot line, characters, setting, villains... All we need is for Orlando Bloom to hold his breath for ten minutes under water and it's proven.

Both the games and the movies were based on the same ride in Disneyland. Though of course the games were about fifteen years earlier. Play them! 1 and 2 are the best; good ole Lucasarts adventure games when they still made them. 3 and 4 are ok but totally overshadowed by the first two.

-Look! A THREE-HEADED MONKEY!-

Two itty-bitty details...
First off, Mute is a boy. A young one, but a boy. And you come to find out very early on (implied in the first episode, confirmed in the second) that Mute's expression isn't so much dreamy as emotionless - he's the incarnation of a fairytale prince who allowed his heart to be shattered in order to defeat a monster raven before the series even starts. Apparently (from what I can gather from the AMV that encapsulated the whole series in three minutes), he winds up under the raven's control for a time - at least from that point on, he seems to have the same either "battle-weary or battle-ready" set of expressions you see on Ed.
