moreso that less typical female characters who dress like tomboys are frequently forgotten and underused in comparison to all the frills.
I knew that's what you meant, I apologize if I sounded like I thought you were saying otherwise. But yes you're right tomboys aren't used very often in comparison to the number of ultra feminine characters.

I need to wear steel-toed boots. ...But all I want is to buy more shoes. Maybe I will start getting rid of my old ones and invest in a new pair every week, for you see-
