Who will you first play as?

When Diablo 3 hits the shelves, what character will you start with?

The Monk, Witch Doctor, Barbarian, Wizard or the Mysterious 5th Class?

I agree, there is something to be said for the guy who doesn't get his hands dirty.

Personally I will use the witch Doctor first, followed by the Barbarian and Wizard.

Assuming I'm able to get my hands on the game (lots of expenses coming up, irritating e.e) I think I'll just have to check out each class to figure out what I'll use. XD Got any suggestions?

lol well it depends on what kind of play style you like mrgreen

Witch Doctor and Wizard both cast spells and such but the Witch Doctor is lest based on pure offense, he summons minion and the like (Similar to the Necromancer from D2)

Barbarian and Monk attack with melee weapons, but the Barbarian is pure tanking and dishing out damage, while the monk uses combos, speed and precision to kill.

The 5th Class is prolly an archer, which would fight from afar but still use physical weapons. The 5th class has not been announced yet though so truely this is also speculation

Blah. I usually use Rogue type characters in games like this. > < I like to get up close and personal when I'm slaughtering things, but Warrior types are usually a little slower.

I think I'll just have to look at the individual stats of each class.

Same here, I've only had two character go above lvl 90 and both were necromancers. mrgreen

What I like about the Witch Doctor is that he seems less reliant on his minions, while they seem useful, he still has interesting offensive attacks of his own. (Such as the Fire bomb)
