Hello!
On here I'm mostly known as Chanthar, though if you'd want to find me in the stores you'd have to look up my full name, Kimberly Vogel
My ultimate goal is to write and publish until I am no longer living.
But since that's a given due to my state of mind (obsession anyone?) I've decided that I'd at least try to get one title per letter of the alphabet. It started out sounding so simple, but after three years I realized that there are certain letters that get more love than others. I was first published back in May of 2005.
The letters written with so far are = A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z.

Rune's Story
This is the story of Rune. Ever since she was little, she was trained to fight in the ways of her people. The Thanatos are the clan responsible for performing the funeral rites for the dead. Most importantly, they keep the dead buried. Her elder brother strayed from the path, however, and brought chaos to the land. It wasn't all his fault. He was turned into a slave to another master. Rune is fighting to free her brother, despite all temptations as she goes from girl to woman.
Destiny in a Mask = A youth named Arien stumbles across a trapped teen. Upon freeing her, he discovers her quest to find her brother. Rune's travel isn't for a happy reunion however. Her brother is part of a group which is destroying the land. In Tsubasa, the world is not tame, despite the length of time since the wipe-out of most magic. Both beings from this world and those beyond the veil revolve around Rune's search for her undead sibling.
Traipsing Along the Veil = Rune survived the encounter with her brother's captor, but it didn't end well. Arien wasn't there so he didn’t see, but the wounds Rune received were more than physical. The guilt over her failure leaves the young woman without a clue as to what to do next. She knows she has to save her sibling, but it doesn't seem possible against the overwhelming force. Fortunately for her, Rune has made friends in more than just her part of the world. As she struggles on one side of the veil, those on the other side move to help in her quest.
A Whirlwind of Passed Lifetimes = Time passes by too quickly for Rune's tastes. Her time might be frozen, but her mortal friends continue to age. The spirits she works with don't have the same sense of time. Her timeline becomes theirs, but the extra time doesn't bring her any closer to stopping her brother. With him protected by his master, how many lives will it take before Rune can stop him?
Virtue is Sacrifice = Rune didn't get very far, but she hasn't given up on her quest. Hopefully she can get around the traps set by the enemy without more people becoming injured. Her brother's master plans for the rest of the world just might destroy it. Rune is committed to stopping her brother, but along the way are many obstacles. Those who don't have her special gift will have to make the ultimate sacrifice. All is not lost, however. There is still hope as the next generation is brought into the fight as well.
Journeys of a Wandering Soul = This is the last time for Rune. All the heartaches and bones broken lead to this moment. Everything else is in her favor, but is her heart? A game changer is brought in the form of a little girl turned woman. With Rune's brother Mask distracted by Viki, Rune might be able to end this once and for all. Then Rune can have her own life...if she survives.

Living Dead Girl = The first in the Drag Shergi Mysteries, this book centers around the detective as well as his mysterious client. She wanders into his office with the request to investigate herself. The only name she remembers is Mary Sukii. That lady is dead. Both of them look strangely similar though..

Threnody in the Mausoleum = The 'second' in the Drag Shergi Mysteries, this book centers around the deceased father of a murdered woman reaching beyond the grave to try and find the culprit. Detective Drag Shergi is possessed and finds himself trying to distinguish past from present. Sometimes it works while other times the father's control is overwhelming. Justice will be done though, whether in this world or the next.

The Missing Paraclete = The 'third' in the Drag Shergi Mysteries, this book centers around the detective discovering a strange toy outside the library. Rather than a simple case of lost and found, it turns into a hunt for a missing child. The reunion is bittersweet as the reason for the trapped soul and the now teen's pain shows up again for a deadly round of hide and seek..

Storms on the Horizon = The 'fourth' in the Drag Shergi Mysteries, this book plays out at a TV station where a series of 'accidents' take place. Drag has to find out what's going on before another life is claimed. There are too many suspects.. and at the same time no suspects.. Who would want the gentle soul harmed? Jeschi might not be the direct one wanted to be harmed, as the accidents continue even after her death..

Ghosts in Smoky Visions = The 'fifth' in the Drag Shergi Mysteries, this book plays out in the ocean. Drag tried to go on vacation, but the best he could do was a bodyguard gig. He thought it would be easy. So much for hopes as the happy time turns terrifying. There were many who were buried at sea over the years. Now, they're up again and angry. What do they want? Does it even matter? Surviving is the only thing now..

The Shriver of Cheney Town = The 'sixth' in the Drag Shergi Mysteries, this book plays out at a church. Drag wandered there at the end of the year for both reflection and protection. Oddly enough at the same time the selection to advance was happening then. With it, there are 'accidents' involving the participants. Drag doesn't want to be involved, but with the crushing weight of the spirits outside, being stuck inside with only one attacker seems like a better place to be..

The Man in the Petticoat = The 'seventh' in the Drag Shergi Mysteries, this book follows Drag as he visits a theater. There everything went fine, or so he thought. Later it is revealed one of the actors was attacked. He goes in to see what's happening and the fantasy the theater plays turns wildly into reality.. this isn't a game played to entertain. It's life or death for them all..

To Beat or Not to Beat = The 'eighth' in the Drag Shergi Mysteries, this book centers around a mysterious child that the detective sees at a concert. It pushes Drag into a place he's never been in, the musician and their lives. There are too many suspects, but none with enough of a face to come to a quick conclusion about who wants the lead singer of the Pinstripe Crew dead..

This Isn't Home = This collection holds four of the Drag Shergi Mysteries: Wrath of the Scapegoat, Kings Queens and All Their Things, Dual Rondo on the Sharne Train, and Persona of Persuasion. Each holds a curious adventure with a supernatural twist. Drag Shergi is a private detective. It’s a little twisted with the way he acts at times; due to the unusual way he sees things. Sometimes it’s good; sometimes it’s bad. No matter what though, things will be set right, even if help comes from the most unlikely place - the dead.

Wrath of the Scapegoat = The 'ninth' in the Drag Shergi Mysteries, this one starts with the wake of someone Drag is at odds with, though he could never disrespect the man. He tries to stay out of being pulled in, but there's nothing that could keep Drag from being involved. More is revealed about the death than anyone thought.. both the old and new guard have to fight to return things to normal.. or as normal as a police station can be.

Kings, Queens, and All Their Things = The 'tenth' in the Drag Shergi Mysteries, this one goes through the events that happen after Drag is invited to a special exhibit at a museum. One of the previous characters shows as Leo was the one who invited him there. At the museum an unfortunate event occurs, involving the theft of the gems and artifacts. Drag is pulled into the case, along with another guest, Professor Fautave... Can they recover the items before an international incident occurs?

Dual Rondo on the Sharne Train = The 'eleventh' in the Drag Shergi Mysteries, this one follows Drag as he goes outside of the country on a personal matter. The safest way to travel through Sharne is by train. Safe is relative, though, as the transport is constantly attacked by bandits. One such violation happens here. Caught in the crossfire, can Drag reduce the casualties? Will he be able to get to the city he needs to, to find the one who could be his sibling?

Persona of Persuasion = The 'twelfth' in the Drag Shergi Mysteries, this one goes with Drag as his cousin comes up to visit him in town. His home is a little crowded for two, so Drag and Oswald both go to a village outside the city. There the peaceful life turns wild as the big city comes to visit in the form a political retreat. Both men get caught up in the drama, but will anyone survive?

Seeds of Blood = The 'thirteenth' in the Drag Shergi Mysteries, this one follows Drag's last vacation. As usual, it turns into more. While in the forest he discovers an abandoned child. It turns out that was for good reason, but it wasn't because of the child.. It turns into a flight to find a safe place to hide the child from the pursuers that would end the baby's life ...

In them Dia returns to the country she escaped. Many things are revealed. Through it all, her mind is on the one she left behind. She has to get back to him. No matter what happens there, when she makes it back to campus, will he still want her?

The collection starts with a new student arriving at the high school in Lemoyne and it ends with another student transferring out. Between those times a set of students go through daily life. The social dynamics make for interesting events, whether or not the students get along.

With the help of the local authorities she makes it to a plane to flee to her birth country, but on the way a terrorist attack sends her in another direction. She's taken in by people who know of her missing past. But what about the ones who want to kill her? Her rescuers even have alternative motives. Follow Viki as she finds her hidden past and new future.
Yearning for Home = Brought into Givon by circumstances beyond her control, Viki is struggling to find her place. She could go back to Everly, but Viki doesn't find her calling there. She doesn't know exactly where she fits in. Either way, Viki can't live in the underground city of Tremain. Going into the unprotected city of Haines, Viki goes into the normal routine of job and school. There she can find her true calling...
Madam President = From fugitive to presidential candidate, Viki's life has gone from one extreme to the other. With the help of her friends she's sure to survive this change too. The only thing that stands in her and the people of Givon's way is the old regime. Change to them won't come easily, so Viki's going to have to use all of her skills if she's going to survive it.

Councilman Herbert only wishes to keep the kingdom of Upper Tsubasa from falling apart no matter what changes occur. Away from the palace the rest of the Tsubasans are also just trying to survive. If the princess has been replaced by another, where did she go? And if so, can she survive long enough to return before her father's death?

I'm a little crazy, if you couldn't tell heh
And I do all my own illustrations, I'm always trying new styles
With the Drag Shergi Mysteries I'm trying to do all in digital
The rest of my books has been either marker, pencil, airbrush or a mix of things
As for abundance, I have, though collecting it all in a sane manner that takes a while. I've been told only a few things about my work, mostly cause that lovely place between 'Looks cool' and 'I bought/read it' is miles and miles apart -sigh- Also, I've been told that I have a problem describing things like.. scenery and people.. it is detailed, but grinds the story to a halt -pouts- Hn ..
I hope to continue, I'm sure I'll find you all helpful ^^ we are all writers who can help each other out in some way or another
