Caught up in a dark embrace
I stared at my mother's lifeless face
It was only a moment ago
when I watched her life go
A grim looking pally
dragged her into an unlit alley
He licked her cheek and called her honey
as shouted at her for her money
When she refused he took off his hat
and beat her with a wooden bat
Caught up in a dark embrace
I stared at my mother's lifeless face
On his back
was a burlap sack
He planned to dump her in the river
I picked up a metal sliver
He saw me
and I would be the last thing he would see
After that
I could imagine the metal going into his heart SPLAT
I could see his soul slipping into hell
After that, I did not feel well
I stumbled out into the street
hearing the noise of people's feet
"Look at me
what do you see
Mother look at me
what do you see
Where has my mind and soul been
I have committed an awful sin"
I missed my mother's warm embrace
and now I could only imagine her lifeless face
