• A child in a divorced home,
    She lost and all alone,
She is broken and she cries in the dark,
    Her daddy's not here,
All her life she's been torn between 2 homes,
    Wondering where she belongs,
Wondering if this is how life's supposed to be.

    Yet her eyes show love,
    Her eyes show hope,
    Her eyes show forgiveness,
Her eyes show a light that can't be explained,
    Her eyes show she's free,
Her eyes show who she really is inside...

    She's been through so much,
    Her parents divorced,
    Her father's death,
She's trying to find her place in a world she doesn't belong,
    Yet somehow there is joy,
    Somehow there's life,
Somehow she knows, everything's going to be ok.

When you look in her eyes,
    Her eyes show love,
    Her eyes show hope,
    Her eyes show forgiveness,
Her eyes show a light that can't be explained,
    Her eyes show she's free,
Her eyes show who she really is inside,
    The world doesn't understand,
But she knows who He is and what He's done...
She knows He'll never let her go,
She knows she'll always be safe in His arms...

The tears fall down her cheeks,
    Yet she isn't sad,
    She is smiling,
    She is rejoicing,
She is crying tears of joy,
For her savior set her free,
    She is overwhelmed by grace,
Has experienced a love that can't be explained.

Although she looks like she's alone,
There is no one by her that you can see,
Somehow you know she's not alone,
She grew up in a divorced home,
    Torn apart between two worlds,
The day her dad died her world fell apart,
    But she's smiling,
    She has true joy inside,
She has met a savior who has set her free,
She's not the same, she's been healed,
    Her scars have been erased,
    Her mistakes have been forgotten,
There is something different, yet beautiful about her.

    She dances and she twirls,
    She dances and she spins,
There is hope in her eyes,
There is something different about her,
She's not the same as everyone else,
    She laughs in the sorrow,
    She sings in the pain,
    She worships in the darkness,
    She dances in the hardship.

    Every look in her eye,
You know her joy is real,
You know she has a true hope that things will get better,
It's as if she's holding to a promise unknown,
    A promise of new life,
a promise that is unheard to the people around,
Yet she hears it, and she's holding on to it,
It's something she feels in her heart,
It's something she knows is true,
    You can't explain it,
But there's something about her that's not the same.

    Her eyes show healing
    Her eyes show love,
    Her eyes show hope,
    Her eyes show forgiveness,
Her eyes show a light that can't be explained,
    Her eyes show she's free,
Her eyes show who she really is inside,
    The world doesn't understand,
But she knows who He is and what He's done...

When the burdens of the world weigh her down,
Instead of trying to stand strong,
She gets on her knees and she prays,
He is unseen to the world, but she knows he's there,
She knows he'll never let her go,
She know he'll never leave her,
It is His love that has set her free.
Her prayers offer more hope than the world can know,
She knows her father hears her,
    She knows she's not alone,
She belongs to Him and nothing can ever change that.

They hear her speak these words,
    Although no one is around,
Father thank you for always being there,
    Thank you for your love,
Thank you for the grace I don't deserve,
I know your ways are good,
    I know you'll never leave,
I trust you with my life,
    I trust you forever.

There is something about the way she prays,
    You know she's found peace,
There's something about the way she sings,
    You know she's found joy,
There's something about the way she dances,
    You know she's free.

    She is a beautiful girl,
Though not in the world's eyes,
She is beautiful to her father,
    Her father created her,
And is very proud of her,
Her father's love lives inside of her,
He watches as she grows up,
And holds her when she comes running into her arms,

    She is strong,
Not because she holds up when the world is crashing down,
But because she cries when she is broken,
She knows when she needs help,
She calls her daddy's name, and rests in his arms,
Her dad holds her until the pain goes away,
    She is pure in heart,
Not because she hasn't made mistakes,
But because she has been forgiven by a savior,
Who took her place on the cross,
And paid the price she should pay,
A debt no one could ever repay,
Yet the savior gave it all for free.

She says He gave His life for me,
I'll live and die for Him,
He paid the price to set me free,
I'll give Him my life and my heart to hold.

You ask her who "He" is,
    She smiles gently and says,
    My Father,
Not an earthly father who you can see,
But my Heavenly Father who's always been there for me,
He's never let me go, he's loved me from the beginning,
He'll love me in the end,
He holds my heart in his hands,
And wipes the tears from my eyes,
He knows my every suffering moment,
He's walked me through this journey of life,

You see I've never been alone,
    He's always been with me,
Even when I did not know him,
He's been calling out to me,
Waiting for the day I'd come into his arms,
Now I'm home, I'm in his arms where I belong,
He's the one I hold on to,
He is my shelter in the storm.

    His name is Jesus,
    Creator of the world,
Holds my life in his hands,
    Could live anywhere he wanted,
Yet chose to live in every heart that opens the door to him,
Every heart who's made him Lord,
The day he took my life and changed it around,
He set me free, He healed my broken heart.
When he speaks to me the whole world fades away,
When he comforts me, the pain goes away,
I know I'm loved; He's everything to me.

    He's the air I breathe,
He is the ground I walk on,
He keeps me safe in His arms,
    Everything my family's been through,
He's been the one watching over us,
    He's the reason why,
    He's my everything,
The world can mock His name,
They can tell me he doesn't exist,
But the way he's touched my life there's no turning back,
    I surrender everything to him,

    Her eyes show healing
    Her eyes show love,
    Her eyes show hope,
    Her eyes show forgiveness,
Her eyes show a light that can't be explained,
    Her eyes show she's free,
Her eyes show who she really is inside,
    The world doesn't understand,
But she knows who He is and what He's done...

    He's the reason I live,
He gave me the life I live...
