Have you ever put yourself in someone else's shoes?
You don't know why people act the way they do.
I bet you've never even spoken to any of them.
There is always a reason behind an action
But you don't always know the reason right away.
Just imagine-
You've just climbed out of this really deep hole
And all these people begin to endlessly torment you.
Would you fight them for your freedom?
Or would you just jump back into your hole of safety?
What is safer-
Being stuck in a box where no one can enter nor leave
Or stand out and suffer the cruel ways of humanity?
Knowing that you're behind bolted doors
And you have absolutely no means of communication
Your mind begins to separate
Into a world of dreams
Fear creeps upon you ever so slowly
As a chill climbs upon your spine until...
Wham!
Suddenly your mind pulls itself together
The horrors within immediately disappear
You're at peace once more
Realizing that no one has accompanied you
You desire to be set free
But you don't want to climb
Out of the box.

I love what you're doing here - interesting feel, and the device towards the end really makes the sinker.
If I have any thoughts, it's that you should try to say it all in less words - succinct, thorough, cataclysmic.
Don't be precious with your words - find the superfluous and rip its heart out! - Report As Spam
