• My memory was all a haze. Red.
I kept on seeing red for some reason.
    But I couldn't remember why...

My hands tightened on somekind of fabric as I tried to get my head to come around. In the background of all my head pain, was a noise. A sharp noise that made my stomach feel sick.
Then I realised that it was a scraping noise.
Then a bright flash of light flooded into my eyes and a face appeared.
    Her face.
I sat up immediatly, ripping my eyes open. I wasn't sure if I had my eyes open because all I could see was pure black. The scraping noise got louder.
Where am I? I thought to myself. Without anymore hesitations, I swung my leg around and jumped off the bed that I lay in. Cold and apparently wrapped in paper.
I tried to find my way through the cold room, bare footed and probably even naked. I could feel cold metal handles and as I made my way through the room, the scraping noise became louder.
I kept calm, making sure to ready myself for whatever I was going to find.
Maybe a light switch would be good, I thought.
Thump. I froze. The scraping noise was gone. I panicked for a while rethinking the situation. If I went back and waited for someone to find me - where ever I was - then I would be safe. But that could take longer than a day...
And if I kept on going then...
But I didn't have time to think. Her face appeared in my face again. Black opaque eyes with snarling teeth. I screamed, sobbing on the floor. It was horrible. But I knew I had to keep on going. I crawled, slowly finding my way to what felt like a door.
Thank god, I thought, reliefed. I gradually pushed my legs until I stood up and then I found the handles. It was a dim light, but it was enough to reveal a small, old staircase that led up to what I resumed was a very crowded room. Above, people talked and laughed. But what I really heard were sobs of people. Yells and explanations.
    Where was I?
'You're in HELL...' Someone hissed behind me. I screamed, running up the stairs and into a crowded corridor. People wore white and some even wore everyday clothes with blood smeared all over it. What ever was happening, everybody was staring at me. Then I heard her again.
'Come... with... me...' She breathed. I screamed again, running down the hall and rounded the corner. She was there, standing at the end. I turned around and went around the other corner. But she was there too. Everywhere I turned, she would always be there, smiling at me.
I ran and ran, always turning back around and finding her there. I screamed each time, and each time, she would always be there.
Suddenly, as I turned, someone cuaght me. I screamed and flailed my arms around, but he (or she) held me and tried to calm me down.
    'Let. Me. GO!' I screamed.
'It's okay!' He said in a soothing tone. For a second, I thought that it was actually going to be okay, so I opened my eyes. It was a boy, about the same age as me. Blonde hair, green eyes, red lips and pretty built.
    'W-where is she?' I asked.
'Who?' He looked me directly into my eyes. It seemed to calm me more. I stopped frantically searching the halls. 'Hey... I've seen you before.' He frowned. Then he seemed horrified and suddenly let me go.
    'You saw me?' I whispered.
'Yeah... but you were dead. In the morgue.' He seemed to be backing away, slowly, almost like he was retreating and planning to run.
'You were dead.' He whispered one more time.

    Red.
