When I woke up, the girl, I think Ellie, was lying next to me. Darren was sitting and reading a book. And Ray was on the other side of Ellie. "Darren?"

    "Yeah?"

"When you first saw me what did you think?"

"I thought you were just another faery that wanted to cause trouble for me."

"When in all actuality I am just a normal person. Or at least I act like one." I looked around, "Where's Dani?"

"She doesn't sleep here. She has a home, unlike us. She just hangs out here."

"Then why did she bring me here?"

"Because this is her second home. When she gets pissed at her parents she stays here. Her parents would kill her if she brought home some random person."

"So where exactly are we going?" I asked picking at the tear in my jeans.

"We are going to the woods."

    "The woods?"

"Yeah, most faeries try to avoid the city by all means unless they are exiled."

    "Is this faery exiled?"

"Kind of, she decided to live outside of the courts."

    "The courts?"

Darren sighed, "There are two courts, Valencia and Vosinth. Basically, good and bad. Sailine used to be in the Valencia court."

    "Sailine?"

    "You know her?"

"Maybe, if they are one and the same she is the one that saved me from being raped."

"I doubt it. Sailine keeps to herself and ignores human and faery life. Well, we better get going. Hey, Ray. Me and Jaimie are leaving 'kay. We'll be back as soon as we can."

I got up and headed to the bathroom with my clothes. As I dressed I caught from the corner of my eye someone different in the mirror. I turned toward the mirror and saw myself. "Just my imagination." I got out of the bathroom and headed back to the main room. "I'm ready." I said slowly walking toward Darren.

"Alright let's go." Darren led me outside and uncovered a motorcycle. "Here's a helmet." He said tossing it to me.

"You do know how to drive this right?"

"No, I just have one to look cool." Darren said sarcastically.

    "Screw you."

    "I don't ******** faeries." Darren smirked.

I got on the back of the motorcycle, "I don't ******** guys." Darren started the motorcycle and headed toward New Jersey." Where the hell are these woods?"

"Jersey. Now shut the hell up or this will be your last ride on a motorcycle." I sat in silence as we continued to ride. As I held onto his waist I looked at his arm. He had a bandage on it. I touched it lightly, "Yeah, I was the one who you sliced. You almost hit the bone." The motorcycle stopped dead in the middle of a clearing. "Wait here for a second. I gotta talk with Sailine." I waited for about ten minutes and Darren came back out, "Come on." I followed Darren and he knocked on a knothole revealing a door.

    "How..."

"Shh, Sailine likes silence." Darren said as he pulled me through a dark corridor. Darren opened the door at the very end.

"S-sailine?" I asked astonished to see a woman with a purplish black mohawk and purplish eyes.

    "Jaimie? But how?"

"This is the faery girl who doesn't know she is a faery." Darren said motioning to me.

"And here I was thinking I would never see you again." I said. "I want to thank you for saving me that night." I said looking down.

"Jaimie. Take this." Sailine said handing me a four-leaf clover. "Rub this on you and you shall see your true form," she said getting right down to business.

I looked at the four-leaf clover. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, but you may want to take out your metal piercings." Sailine said gesturing to my lip.

I took out my metal piercings and replaced them with my new glass ones. "So I just rub this on me?" Sailine nodded her head. I rubbed the clover on my arm and to my disbelief my arm changed to the color brown. "What the...?" I said dropping the clover.

"That is your true form. If you continued to rub your arm the transformation from human to faery would've been quicker." Sailine said touching my other arm revealing more brown. My flesh seemed to be falling off like withered pink rose petals.

I turned to Darren, "What the hell was in the water!? Did you drug me!"

Darren looked at me, "Hey, you used the clover. Sailine warned you."

"Let me show you my true form Jaimie." Sailine went from a normal human to a too beautiful woman with pointed ears and eyes that were dark purplish blue, you know the color of the sky before really bad storm. Her hair seemed like the texture of silk and was pure royal purple and her hair fell to her shoulders. "This is my faery form,"

I stared at her in shock, "That is impossible, my mom said that faeries didn't exist."

"It's pretty real to me." Darren said.

"I'm not a figment of your imagination Jaimie." Sailine said her voice soothing.

"No, I am not about to believe that this faery s**t is real!" I turned around and started to run.

"No, Darren. Let her go. If she wishes to she can run now, but sooner or later she will come back."

I just kept running not looking back. I ran out of the tree and deep into the woods. I stopped by a river fell to my knees, and looked into it. "Who is that person?" I cried.

"It is you," said a voice.

"No it isn't it is some freak."

Someone touched my shoulder. "I can help you if only you would get on my back," I turned to see a beautiful woman in a long, torn black dress and flowing long raven hair.

I moved toward her, "How can you help me?"

"I can show you the answers. Just get on my back."

"JAIMIE DON'T!" Darren was running toward me and the woman.

"What do you want, shithead!" I yelled moving closer to the woman.

"Jaimie, she is not what you think she is!" Darren said running closer.

"Your questions will be answered when you climb onto my back."

Sailine appeared next to the woman. "Get out selkie or I will make you." She said unsheathing a sword.

The woman turned toward me, "Maybe some other time I guess."

"What the hell is going on?" I turned to Sailine.

"That is a selkie they seduce or enchant people into getting on their back and then they drown the person." Sailine said. My eyes widened and I guess I fainted because I don't remember what happened next.

    Magic

I woke up dazed, "What happened?" I opened my eyes and saw Sailine. "Great, I'm a ******** lunatic."

Sailine looked at me, "You were just in shock yesterday. Just go back to sleep. I'll make sure no harm comes to you."

I smiled and drifted off into sleep, I dreamed off me being a faery princess, like when I was a little girl. Before I told my mom and then she told me that s**t wasn't real. I woke up some time later to crashing and banging. "What the hell?" I looked up and saw Darren shuffling around pots and pans. "Where am I?"

"I brought you back to my place. Sailine said that she had someone coming and if they saw you there might be some trouble." As Darren was speaking I became aware of a movement on my back. I looked over my shoulder and saw huge a** wings on my back.

"HOLY CRAP! WHAT THE ********! DARREN WHAT IS THIS s**t!" Alright, I freaked a bit...okay a lot, but wouldn't you if you saw huge wings growing from your back.

"Jay, calm down. It is normal for faeries to have wings. Some, like Sailine, don't but those are mostly knights in the fey courts."

"Like that is gonna calm me down! Since I was seven I have been told faeries didn't exist. And my mother was a b***h about it too. She friggin beat me when ever I mentioned the word."

"Well, she was wrong. I didn't want to believe because I saw the little ********. I wished I never saw them."

I looked at him for a long time and took deep breaths and started to cough, "What is that smell? And why does my throat burn?"

"I guess you are a faery. Let's get you out of here," Darren helped me up, "We are gonna have to go back to Sailine's place. That is the only place faeries are really safe from the iron. Can you glamour yourself?"

"Huh? I'm sorry, I was too busy choking on the fumes of iron. What is glamour?"

"You know what, Ray I'm goin' out I'll be back. Watch Jaimie make sure she doesn't leave the house."

Ray staggered out of the other room. "Alright...What the hell! Darren there's a faery in our living room."

"Ray, that is just Jaimie. I told you she was a faery."

"Uh, okay. Jaimie come on follow me."

I walked toward Ray, "Do I really look that bad?"

"No, actually you look cute. It is just that I wasn't expecting to see you like this." Ray moved closer to me and wrapped his arm around my waist.

I pushed him away, "Uh, I don't like you so back off. And don't you have Ellie?"

"It wouldn't hurt her if she didn't know." I slapped Ray across the face.

"No! Not again!" I moved my arms oddly and Ray just stopped and shook his head.

" Jaimie come with me." I followed slowly behind Ray. Ellie was laying on an old couch with the cat I gave Dani on her, I watched as Ray went to a dresser and picked up a little baggie filled with a glittery substance. "You want some?"

"What is it?" I said looking at the baggie.

"It is a drug for faeries, it eases the pain of iron sickness, but for humans it makes you high."

"Sure. How do you use it?"

"Faeries drink it, you put it in some water and then you just drink it. Elli likes to shoot up with it. I do what the faeries do." Ray put the solution into some tap water and gave me some. When I drank it the burn in my throat went away. Ray put some into his glass of water and he looked weird. The air around him looked wavy and all of a sudden he moved his hands and he changed clothes.

I jumped back, "What the hell is this s**t?"

"I call it realization. 'Cuz when ever I use it everything becomes clear. Now Jaimie come here I know you want me." Ray moved closer. And to my amazement I was moving closer to him as well, "See I knew you were lying to me and my brother about being a lesbo."

I started to want Ray, I know it sounds horrid and disgusting but I felt that I needed him. "Ray, I love you." I was shocked at hearing those words come out of my mouth. In the end, it kills me to say this so I am gonna spare you the details...we slept together. I know I want to puke just remembering it.

"Ray, what are you doing? Who is that?" I opened my eyes and saw Ellie. She looked disheveled and dirty. Her hair was lank and greasy, and you could see dirt crusted under her finger nails.

I looked down at myself and saw my normal human self. Then that was when I noticed that I was naked and so was Ray, "What the...YOU ******** a*****e! WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME!" I got up and wrapped a blanket around myself, and went into the bathroom. That is when I remembered wanting Ray and sleeping with him. I leaned over the toilet and puked until only bile came up. Someone knocked on the door. "Leave me the hell alone you a*****e! Your brother told you to watch me and you took advantage of me! That is ******** low." I fell to my knees and started to cry. Someone opened the door. I looked up and saw Sailine. She helped me up and brought me to the living area. I grabbed my clothes and put them on. Darren looked at me and he took me into the other room.

Darren moved forward and wrapped his arms around me. "Look, I brought Sailine here to teach you how to glamour yourself. She will teach you how to glamour and use magic then you can go home with her and learn more about the courts and your lineage."

I looked up and tears stung my eyes. "How could you be related to such a monster?" I cried.

"I don't clearly understand what happened Jaimie. Can you tell me so I can understand?"

I sighed, "After you left Ray pulled out a baggie of something like glitter. He called it realization. He said it took away iron sickness for faeries, but messed up humans. Then he said he knew I wanted him and at that second I did. I screwed him...and I wished I didn't," I started to cry again because that is the only thing that seemed right at the time.

Darren walked out of the room and I followed him out. He walked right up to Ray and grabbed him by the shirt and pushed him up against the wall, "I told you to cut the s**t out with the real!" Darren slammed Ray against the wall and let go of him and turned toward me and sighed and headed into a different room. Sailine grabbed my hand and lead me upstairs.

"Darren told me that you didn't know how to glamour or use magic. Is that true?"

"Yeah, I didn't know what I was until the clover incident. And I am still not sure."

"Okay, first you have to be relaxed."

I looked at her and laughed, "Relax? How the hell am I supposed to relax? I just found out I was a ******** faery!"

Sailine moved toward me and gently touched my face, causing me to melt, "Just try." She spoke softly.

I looked into her eyes and my expression melted off my face, "Sailine, how can I learn?"

Sailine smiled, "Now do you feel energy coursing through you?" I nodded my head,"Okay, imagine yourself with a new outfit," I closed my eyes and imagined myself wearing Tripp pants, gloves, and a black tank top, "Now open your eyes and look at yourself in the mirror."

I gasped as I looked in the mirror, "How...how is this possible."

"Because you are a faery," Sailine whispered in my ear appearing behind me.

I thought about all the times something weird happened such as the two guys being drawn to me when I felt lonely, "What kind of faery am I?"

"I would think a wood sprite. Due to your complexion and wing color."

"Do they have any special powers?"

"Wood sprites can speak to or attract animals and they also have a knack for growing things," Sailine spoke gently.

I yawned and sat on the ground against the wall, "Why am I so tired?"

"It may be the effects of the iron on you..." Sailine's voice trailed off as I drifted off to sleep.
