• Chapter 2:

    Fast-forward: A week later

I...hate...my...life... this year of high school is killing us. Example?

“Another pop quiz?!?!” We all yelled.

    “Another project?!?!” We yelled.

“Prom dance committee?!?!” We yelled once more.

Well, Edward signed us up for the prom dance committee as revenge. Damn fairy! Anyway, if you think that our life is sweet, think again! That night, Victoria and I were in the cemetery with a few other members of the IMM. There was a fresh ripped-up body. There was warm blood and bloody limbs all around the cemetery. Victoria and I had to check them for evidence and seal the limbs in Ziploc bags using gloves. When we were halfway done, I felt something warm going up my throat and I ran to the forest to throw up. The smell of blood around the cemetery was just too strong and fresh. Victoria looked at me and sighed.

“Unbelievable! She works with blood as a necromancer all the time and NOW she throws up!!!” She said, picking up more pieces.

Then, she gagged when she grabbed another limb and ran to the forest to throw up too. After throwing up my lunch and dinner, I came back and checked for more evidence.

“So, did you guys find anything?” Jason asked, coming to help us.

“Well, the footprints say that the person was visiting the graves...” I said.

“The larger footprints that look like paw prints, say that the creature was creeping from behind the person...” Victoria said.

“Then, the person saw it and tried to run away...” I said.

“But, the creature had pounced on the person and tried to feed off him, but since the person didn’t stop struggling...”

“The creature got impatient and ripped the person to pieces?” Jason asked.

“Yup, speaking from personal experience?” I asked.

    “Not really...”

“Now, can we go home?” Victoria said.

“We could or we could go get something to eat to replace the thrown up food...” I suggested.

“Let’s go eat. All this blood is making me hungry...” Jason said, smirking.

“Jason, do you want us to threaten you with a silver fork again?” I threatened.

“How can you be so sure that we lycanthropes are allergic to silver?” He asked.

“Because last time we showed you a silver fork, you ran away screaming like a little girl...” Victoria said.

    “Oh...right...” he said.

“I actually have that on tape if you want to see...” I said.

“...I hate you all...” He said.

“Aww! We love you too!” We both said.

“We can go now!” He yelled.

“Thank you!” We said, running away.

    Fast-forward: A month and a half later

We were in the gym, where we all ended up together in this last period. We ran, went through obstacle courses, made a few baskets, etc. In the last 30 minutes, we got into pairs and went to the court to play tennis. Rumor around here says that Edward had never lost a match in tennis so I decided to break his record. After a few minutes of hitting the ball at each other, we were tied and all the other students stopped playing to watch us. My friends cheered for me when I swung the racket hard.

    “Go Eleanor!” Felicity cheered.

“You can do it!” Jason cheered.

“Yeah! This guy’s mayo compared to you!” Solange cheered.

    Everybody: o.O

    “Mayo?” Maria asked.

“Yeah, it’s squishy and stupid!” Sol said.

“Do you eat it?” Charlotte asked.

    “Yeah, pretty much!” Sol said.

Then, I backhanded the ball back at Edward and when he went to hit it, he missed. I won! Bye-bye record!

“Ha! I told you he’s mayo!” Sol said.

    Everybody: Oh, shut up!

    “Sorry, Edward...not!” I said.

“I’m so getting you back!” He said, glaring.

    “Sure...when pigs fly...” I said.

Then, the bell finally rang. Hello, long weekend!

    *~*~*

The next day, all of us magical creatures (including Gabriel and Edward) went to Jason’s house for out annual ‘Hard Tag’ game. It might sound kind of stupid and childish, but it’s actually very fun. Jason’s backyard is a forest, literally! We always play tag here because it’s the only safe place for us to practice our powers.

We went in the afternoon and spent it talking and having fun. I mostly spent the time talking to Jason’s identical twin brother, Jacob Holland. He used to be in the same school as us when his parents transferred him to another one, but he wants to transfer back in January so we can all graduate together. He’s the opposite of Jason, Jacob’s shy, sweet and the sweetest guy you’ll EVER meet. At night was when the ‘Hard Tag’ game started and Solange decided to be ‘it’, but we didn’t warn the boys, especially Tobi. We walked outside to their backyard and saw the tall, scary-like trees that made up the forest.

“Hey Tobi! Hope you don’t get a freezer burn!” Sol said.

    “Why?” He asked, confused.

Solange took a deep breath and blew, freezing Tobi.

    “That’s why!!!” She yelled.

We (excluding Tobi, who is frozen) ran into the dark, tall forest to hide from Solange. I ran as far as I could with Jacob and climbed one of trees, hiding on one of its branches. After a while of listening to the others screaming and running away, the forest went quiet...all little too quiet. Then, we felt strong winds blowing.

“I guess Solange is flying around, trying to find us...” Jacob whispered.

Then, a high-pitched scream echoed through the forest after a fireball was shot in the air...

“And I guess Tobi unfroze and shot her down from the sky with a fire ball...” I whispered back.

“TOBI! YOU’RE SO DEAD!” A female voice screeched.

“DON’T KILL TOBI! TOBI’S A GOOD BOY!” Tobi yelled (inside joke).

“GOOD, MY [censored!]!” Solange screamed (another inside joke).

Soon after that, punches and yelling from Sol and Tobi were heard around the entire forest. Jacob slightly jumped as he heard them growling and fighting each other more.

    “Whoa..!” I said.

“I’m going to make sure that they don’t kill each other...” Jacob said, climbing down the tree.

    “Be careful...”

After a few minutes of waiting, the fighting didn’t seem to stop. Then, I heard louder yelling, surprisingly coming from Jacob, more punches, but I almost jumped off the tree out of shock when I heard two loud gun shots. A few moments of silence later, Jacob came back up again, smiling.

    Me: o.O Jacob...what happened?

“Oh, they just came into a small agreement...” He said, grinning.

After the shock went away, I glared at him with a frown, asking.

    “You’re ‘it’...aren’t you?”

“No......you’re ‘it’..!” He said, poking my stomach before he climbed down at top speed.

    “Traitor..!” I yelled after him.

I got down the tree and made my way through the dark forest, trying to find the other side of the forest. Not a lot of people knew that there is a cemetery in the other side. After a few minutes of running, I reached the gloomy and misty (remember, it’s night) cemetery and kneeled by a couple of tombstones. I took out a pocket knife and cut my arm, pouring blood around 6 tombstones in a circle. Since these corpses were barely 6 months old (Because of my necromancy, I can tell how old the corpses and vampires are), I didn’t need a sacrifice to raise them.

Before closing the circle, I got inside and release enough black energy to raise the corpses. Then, a pair of hands popped out of the ground and dirt, their rotting heads coming out after them. 6 rotting corpses clawed their way out of their graves and started at me like obedient dogs waiting for instructions. Zombies are very good at tracking.

“Alright, we’re looking for a Caucasian male, light green eyes, ash blond, reeks of fairy, stupid...wait, is stupid a smell? If it is, then he probably has it...” I trailed off.

The zombies just blinked at me, confused.

“Uh...go?” I said, pointing at the forest.

They just blinked once more and ran into the forest to look for Fairyboy. After a while of waiting, I noticed Gabriel walk out of the forest towards the cemetery.

“I knew it smelled like necromancer blood...” He said, smirking.

“Don’t start, Gabriel...” I said, trying to bandage my arm, but failing miserably.

“Uh...do you need help?” He asked, mentioning to the bandage.

“No! I don’t need help from a cruel bunny killer..!” I said, meaning the time when he killed my rabbit, Neno.

Gabriel: -_- It was an accident...

“Either way, I don’t need your help!”

    ~1 minute later...

“Eh...I’ll get this bandage on sooner or later...” I said.

    ~2 minutes later...

“I just need a few moments of mental preparation and then, I will bandage my arm...”

    ~3 minutes later...

“Just give me one more minute...”

    ~4 minutes later...

“Will you just let me do it?! We don’t have all night!” Gabriel said.

“Oh, fine!” I said, giving up.

He just sighed impatiently and walked up to me. He took my left arm and started to bandage it. After he was done, a loud, girly scream was heard over in the forest.

“Isn’t that Fairyboy’s ‘manly’ scream?” Gabriel asked.

“Yeah...I sent a couple of zombies after him...” I said.

    “Nice...”

“Oh, by the way...you’re ‘it’!” I said, poking his forehead before running away into the forest.

Author's note: Well, this is where I leave you! Please come back next time and see what happens in a scene including a fairy with necrophobia (fear of corpses), a bunch of zombies and an innocently evil necromancer ^^
