Once upon a time, a bakeneko fell in love with a human. However, she could never reveal her feelings, for fear he would reject her. Before she knew it, decades passed and her love died before she could confess. At his funeral, hiding in the shade of a cherry clossom tree that overlooked the cemetary, she decided that she would never fall in love again. To this day, she has kept her promise.
