This is my Tribal Self Portrait. I mixed myself with the "tribe" of my choice, elves. The ref. pic is of me, it's what I used. Yes, I know it's not exact, that's the point.
I put over 24 hours working on it. It's graphite pencil on storyboard. The actual size is about 2'x3'.
Sadly, a picture of it doesn't do it justice and there's a LOT more detail in it than you can see online.

This was an assignment for my AP Studio Art class. We had to draw it over winter break (just this last school year.)
I adore elves, especially the majestic, wise, beautiful Lord of the Rings type of elves. That's why I chose elves as my "tribe." I also used a few scenes from the movies of Rivendale for reference for the architecture in the background.
It's won an award and was placed for viewing in my state's capitol building. - Report As Spam
