Anime seems to lack many fiercely protective father figures.

I totally agree with you on the ''anime needs more protective father figures'' lately it's just all about vague guys with hidden pasts about that they are ACTUAlly the brother/son from *insert evil overlord name here* Or it's just about a girl with big boobs and a gun on a mission to whatsoever...
