A combination of a side-striped Jakel and a Barb Horse ( both species are native to arid and/or hot climates, so it works... kinda 8D)
P.S. The horse parts are it legs, long tail, long neck fur, an elogated muzzle, and narrow pointed ears, if you couldn't find it ;O

- I can see the jakel in there, but I'm not seeing the horse....Maybe a little in the face....? Nice drawing though >_<

- wow that's really amazing. i love your emphasis on the jakel and the texture of the fur, and the background is just a plus it's really good.
