There are a couple ways to make a friend request. One is to go to their profile and there with be an 'Add to Friends/Ignored' option in the 'Contact' box. Another would be to go to the 'My Gaia' tab beneath your avatar at the top of the page. Scroll down to 'Friends and Enemies, click on it. On the page it takes you to, there will be a search bar in the upper right-hand corner. Type in the name of the person you want to add and click the arrow. Their name will now be displayed, click the box to the far right of their name. Scroll down and click 'Add Friend'.
